You got it in good, and this was a bad beat. 62% chance that you will win the hand when you got it in.

I think about this situations like a coinflip. 88 vs KQ. Besides You are SB, so you are first with decision, maybe donkbet is better solution than check on the flop.

hard to say if it is statistically right decision, because we have two opponents in this hand, so it changes a little situation. One of them can have at least TJ, QT, KT, AT etc. and you have OESD. Besides opponent have to call you, because he had 300 to call, he also is committed, in pot is a lot of chips. But if your decision is right? Still hard to say for me.

- Shove or fold pre, setmining odds aren't there when you have to invest over 20% of your stack.
- As played, donk shove the flop as you are never folding, but would like to get rid of at least one opponent. Maximize fold equity and shove.

Tho I don't know anything about the players, I think it wasn't a bad move.
It's ok. The board was scary and you still had a straight draw if any1 calls with better hand at flop.

3 bet pre. Why are you flatting against an opponent who opens light?

This.

OP; What are the stack sizes pre? I'd be much happier 3betting this guy pre given how loose, how fishy he is and his 4x sizing pre flop on short stack sizes. I assume he is light here and given it's a BTN open, it's not going to be much fun or as profitable playing OOP here.

I think you played it allright, depending on preflop stack sizes.

it's not always ideal to blindly shove preflop if you know they will usually call you with 2 overs, because they'll definitely call with better pairs so you're only HOPING to flip. I think it's OK to see a flop so that you can fold if it's all paint, and jam if it comes relatively "safe". This way you should win vs. the 2 overs....you'll still lose to the bigger pocket pair but that's poker and you've improved your odds significantly by getting the 2 overs to fold on the flop instead of letting them see all 5 cards and counterfeit you or get lucky.

But if that's your plan, then once the flop comes with no paint, you have to jam.

Yeah I still had almost 20 bb's prior to this hand, the flop was about as good as I ask could ask for, us that board didn't pair twice I woulda almost tripled up... So I'm not sure about jamming pre for what would have been, 275 chips, also I'm
Thinking the fish woulda called...

Thanks for the responses!!!
