you will never know you are ahead or behind. he can hold anything. it depends on villain, not cards. you put in decent part of your stack so i think its push on turn.

In the pot there was 2280, and you had 1915, you were already committed in the pot.

When you c-bet on the flop, you have to take a few seconds, to see the stack, of the villain, your stack, and the stack of the table, in this hand, you had to go all in on the turn, with any card that come out.

has he bluff on river/any streets in position before? if he has or you suspect that he has, then its a call on river.
but if he hasn't & because IMO generally limpers are passive, their pot size bet on river might be an actual value bet

Maybe bet the turn again and see if he still calls, There is a boat on the board by the time he shoves and unless he has the 3, 5 or over pair you are good. It's a good jam if he has 5 makes it look like he wants to push you off a chop.
I would be calling here all day every day against a player who is limping a wide range.

Raising half the pot after a double flop is clearly not enough. It should be at least 1.25 pot, but that's about half of your stack. Therefore, you have to go all-in or fold a pair of 88. You chose the worst option by putting too many chips in the pot and went over to the check. The actions of the villain also have no logical explanation. Two calls after quite significant raises before and after the flop indicate a certain strength. A check after the turn and overbet on the river, not bringing additional chips, indicate a lack of such and no desire to bring the case to the opening. Most likely today is not your day and from meeting with a maniac no one
