Well I am going to give you my thoughts however I am going to say I am not that advanced in my poker knowledge. One thing that needs to be taken into account is what range your opponents may be playing.

With the BB just calling you his range probably doesn't consist of AA,KK,QQ,. His range though could consist of smaller pocket pairs such as 99 or AQ. If I plugged things into pocker stove accordingly it says you are winning 85% of the pots according to the rest of his range which I plugged in as JJ - 22,A10s+, A10o,KJs and KJo. With these numbers I believe its a good shove and honestly I would have pushed myself. Hope this helps.

Bounce - the range you have put him on makes no sense. You have to adjust the range post flop based on the action you have seen him make. He won't do this with 22-JJ for example.

In game, especially in a $1.50 MTT, I shove, but I'd expect to see A9/Q9 here a fair bit, but he could have JT, KT, KJ, Ax here so I probably go with it. Not sure whether it's all that great but people will have Ax a lot here

I was looking at what his range would be pre-flop as opposed to post flop but I do understand what you are saying Pascal. I am thinking that he is not calling pre with A9 or Q9 but then again you are right since its a $1.50 MTT and anything goes with people. That's just the point of view I was looking at.

Glad to hear I made the right play, wasn't really happy to have to have make the shove though.

However, he did turn over Q9s, but I sucked out on the river and hit my ace
