When you min-raise 22 UTG, which action are you happy with other than everyone folding? You cant call a jam from one of the deeper stacks, and if someone just call, 22 play really poorly with short stacks like this. So for me this is a jam or fold spots. With 16BB effective and 5 players left to act behind, you are not getting a good risk/reward on jamming, so I would just fold.

As played you are paying 607 to win 1.904, so in chip EV you only need 32% equity to make a break even call, which you easily have. So its one of those, where we are not excited to face the jam, but calling is a less bad option than folding. As a rule of thump its rare, that we should fold to a rejam for less than 10BB effective. Which also mean, that if we are rejamming for less than 10BB ourselfes, we should not expect fold equity.

I agree that open raise on UTG with a 22 is not the best solution and I don't do that in regular MTT tournaments, but in the 1table SnG Turbo I have to expand the range and take more risks.

Regardless of format this is a long term losing play, and you just got lucky to suck out on another player this time.

In my opinion any player who stacks off with duces thru 55s - with more than 10bb will be a losing player in the long run.

However - it is an interesting thought regarding expanding ones range when playing this edge reducing format.
