So I have been playing in a regional tourney from PS.
I got HU and the first hand HU was actually the winning hand.
I am not a tourney specialist neather a HU specialist. I want to know if I played this correctely. What I can say about the opponent is that I noticed he protects top pair or overpair by shoving when there is a draw. I had double gutshot and a flushdraw and I called.

i dont know about you picking a patern of shoving when he got top pair.
but i would nevercall there just because he can do it with alot of hands JJ with the J of heart, any flush draw.
u have only the 8 of heart, given that ther is a flush out there the straight draw is irelivant ok its 4 outs, r u willing to put your tournemant life on 4 outs,

First off congratulations, great win! But I couldn't go farther, seeing there were 3 hearts. I'd have to lay it down and kick myself later. BUT as played, good for you haha. You didn't think he had the flush, or higher than your 8?

Fold imo!!! You call a 8x potsized bet on the flop with only a double gutter and a 8 high FD? You have a lot of equity , but you couldn't know for sure .

You have 2bb's invested & you guys are both around 35bb stacks.
Weird & goofy play by villain & by the looks of it I'd think you would have plenty of oppurtunity to crush them if this is any indication of how they play (in other words 'fold').

congrats for the win!
I think you got lucky there, I'd never risk my tournament on a gutshot when there are 3 hearts on the flop.

I agree here, you have a bit too weak of a hand to call the all in.

I would certainly consider calling an all in in this spot with a draw, but you need a stronger draw to do so.

You have a lot of potential outs, but if you assume your opponent has a pretty strong here (often top pair), you're going to find that many of those outs (9x, hearts in particular) are going to often be blocked by hands like Tx9h.

If you had a little bit more committed to the flop, I would call, but I think this is a semi close fold.

This is a fold and it's not even close. Even against J10 no heart or similar, which is about the worst you run into, you are only 55% to win. Against his entire range, which includes plenty of AhX, 10(9-Kh), even 8x9h, you are absolutely crushed.

I would have waited and folded to the PFR.

You have about 30-35 BBs and could have definitely prolonged it more with some better hands.

But a win is a win, right?

Think you also should take in consideration that this is a full table tourney where 2 players are left. That villain probably is a huge fish HU (see this hand) and that there obvious will be way more better spots.

He could easily have a pair with flush draw or worse a flush already. All-in by villian suggest its unlikely he has a made flush. But i dont like that call with your stack sizes. If he has a bigger heart than 8 you are left with only 3 outs that are non heart 9s. Even though you are getting the right odds to call there is much left for you to play with even after folding the hand.

Yeah... two of those hearts were 4's. Yep, one on the flop, and one on the turn. :D

Wait, there were two 4 of hearts and then the results say you had a straight 8 high, something is not right...

Im sure it was probably a glitch in the hand history conversion if he won with the 8 high straight it was clearly a non heart 5.

and yea this deep its a fold.
