Is it common that the V in these games over bet hands?
Versus a V that plays a little better than this we may want to consider a raise on the turn as this straight becomes a check let you bet trips or bluff the river card as a large size lead by the V should get 2 pair to fold river.
A decent V calls the turn raise and calls river shoves (SPR much lower) as we can have trips and bluffs as well as the nuts.

I agree, that a turn raise would also be completely fine here, since the board has gotten wetter, and maybe they hit top pair with the K. Against this particular holding the chips would have gone in regardless. If he go for a smaller river bet, I jam, and then he is not folding a straight for the same reasons, he would not fold it to a turn raise. I think, my thought process in real time was, that I put him on something less strong like a straight, partly because of his turn sizing, and I did not want him to fold.
