There were alot of sitters at my table. The villian was willing to call down alot with mediocre hands which suprised me when he reraised.

Last hand i raised preflop and he was the only one who called. My c-bet took it down which might mean he was seeing if i was stealing.

Fold, you're only beating a bluff here or a counterfited T9. Opponent has to put your range to be heavily weighted by an overpair so his check raise should be believed.

On that wet of a flop you needed to check behind to control the pot size and try to get to showdown cheaply. Don't fall in love with large pocket pairs on flops like these.

kinda 50/50 situation, but if he raises so much, i think fold, and i aggree Jillychemung coz so close is money and you can rush out with your hand pretty fast

I ended up calling. He showed down Jack Ten and i had him 75/25 but he hit his 7 for the straight.

oh well, it happens. I guess i could have folded, but i thought i had a chance to accumulate a huge chip stack.

I think i would of raised him more PF about 2K. You have see if he is willing to add to the pot. I know it may look like an over bet, but i want to see if he is willing to call.
I have been in the same spot, i have to say you need to raise more to get the SB to fold. Some think that they can play any hand, well in the SB.

Okay... I'm confused here with how this HH reads... it says you're UTG and yet the SB just 'calls' 240 and then somehow you're raising to 720???? I don't get it??
Not knowing your opponent but from the indication of his bet (raise) I'd assume he's got a set and is trying to protect his hand on a flop like that.
I'm folding once he raises.
Accumulating alot of chips on the bubble is a great idea but I think how I want to be trying to do this is by attacking tighter players and by trying to take down small pots, regularly aggressing on the blinds. If one develops into a monster.... great.. especially if it's at a time when one of your opponent's gets fed up with you and tries playing back at you (perhaps that's what this guy was attempting to do here?... or maybe he's just an idiot.. hard to say I wasn't there).

This is due to the crappy converter that the forum has. Nick has promised to get it fixed one day but won't turn it off in the interim. It's why I use Stox converter.
