I think preflop to turn was fine, they can have anything on the blinds and the flush is situational, the thing that concerns me is if I am getting the most value by shoving in general, I know it worked against them but is it a good play in general?

Is good, but sometimes villain will show a set or a flush

No in general this is not a good play. A competent opponent might even fold two pair to this line, given that straight and flush became possible on the river. If you knew, the opponent was a fish, it was a good play though. As you can see, fish just cant fold. Its like, the fold button is missing on their keyboard or something.

Nice one! A lot of players check this river and miss out on value. You did great by value betting.

With that said, it probably would be better generally to make a smaller bet here (unless you have a very good read that Villain doesn't fold) to let him call with more hands.

Well played! The line is cool and very profitable vs weak players cause generally your opp shoulda folda but you polarized your hand and he decided to bluff catch but he has very bad hand to do it.gg

Thank you for your post. You played pretty well on all streets. With villian just calling down I think this is well bet. The turn & river are tricky though. You do have the nut flush blocker in your hand but most players won't fold flushes that are King high so overbetting the pot on the river worked this time but be aware of an opponent calling down because that usually means villian is chasing. If villian is chasing and you suspect it then go all in on the turn and put pressure on villian. When you shove the river villian has already seen all 5 cards and usually you will only get called by better hands such as sets or flushes. Good Luck

Good Luck To All:cool:

If you are betting for value enough you will be shown a better hand from time to time. If you never get shown a better hand, you are not betting for value enough. You can leave a lot of money on the table doing that.
