I didn't bet flop, didn't figure I'd get much action... I mean if he had any piece of this I wanted to give him a chance to bet... or of course bluff...

Then the turn... then the shove.....

SICK SICK SICK SICK haha. What to do?

I promise I will either admit to the fold, or post the entire hand, Sunday night in this thread if anybody is interested. I'd love to hear any thoughts.

I'm never folding here, I'd call 100% of the time here. While KQs is probably in villians range, I am still not ever folding quad aces in this spot.

You have to check the flop. It's the only way to hope for money in the pot.

You can't fold this however. Only two particular cards beat you, whereas a high flush would make that bet. Too many more hands that you beat than would beat you. So call.

You gotta call! He could go all in with a lot of hands here, and if you run into the royal..it's just bad luck.

I bet flop for value.
You got stuff pay you a flop bet but not a turn bet.
Betting you build image too and if you go to the show down you could gain much respect on your further cbet.
I guess if you check in your 3betted here, you never got paid on the turn unless oppos get weird lines like here.

I hope you were not asking as played... what to do on the turn

Ofcourse, call. From flop to turn, you have to check since you got the nuts. Its impossible he got a straight flush past river.

It's opponent-dependent. Consider from the opponent's point of view. What if he bets? If he thinks you'll take that as meaning he has an A, then why not bet when he doesn't have one to try to get you to fold the non-A hands you would have 3bet pre- ? Not a great play, but not out of the question for an aggressive player, especially if he thinks you're weak.

I didn't actually look at the situation to be honest lol, just saw quad aces and a royal flush draw, paid no attention to villains line

Looking at the line now, royal really makes no sense.

Why would anyone consider check/folding quads? lol

@ OP

Never ever fold this ever ever ever ..

if you were on the Big Game and you had 300k in real money in front of you you call and be happy doing so! If he flips over the royale flush it is okay to cry

I mis read the hand I thought the turn brought the straight flush possibility with a 3 card flush.. I didn't realize 4 of the cards were out there...

Same I highly doubt I can fold lol

You didn't misread it. I didn't post the river card on the original post.

The chips all went in on the turn... which makes it even more sick lol.

You don`t have to regret for your call. That was the best decision. It wasn`t very smart for him to move all in with a straight on the turn. So this is bad luck, and you can not do anything about it. But you have to keep yourself from getting on tilt after this.
Once I have lost a similar hand with quad 10s, and after that lost my whole bankroll in just one day.

You had to call. As the time is passing by, the people are more sorry for the things they didn`t do than the things they have done.

Maybe this isn't as bad as it might seem. Focus on UTG since he's still in the hand, and has more chips than Hero. In order to get all of UTG's chips in via more normal-sized bets, BB probably has to bet 2/3 pot or so on the turn, then shove the river, and get called twice.

What can UTG have that fits his actions both pre- and on the flop, and that will call a decent-sized turn bet but fold to the overshove? Is his range to call say 350-375 vs 1380 are the same or very close? If so, factoring in that he might call the turn but not the river depending what comes, and also that a shove may be somewhat more likely to be taken as a semi-bluff, maybe BB's shove with the nuts doesn't give up a great deal of equity.

Small point to clarify here... he didn't shove with the nuts.

He shoved the turn card. All he had was a straight at that point.

He had a 1 outer vs. my quads at that point.
