We have 3 limpers, I make a stab at the flop of 750 and get 1 call while Cutoff raises to 12 BB on the flop He limped in so i'm pretty sure he doesn't have a big pocket pair like Aces, Kings or Queens. Its pretty obvious here that he either has a straight or he flops a set.

I figure if I can make my flush or gutshot I most probably have him beat unless he has 5 8 which is unlikely as he's he seems pretty tight.

For me its a shove or fold situation.

If I shove the pot will be around 24K. So i'm getting around 12K of fold equity. (especially as i'm on the bb and can play junk like 5 8 )

I have 13 outs to make either a straight or a flush so i'm in a coin flip situation with an equity of 12K making a total equity of 24K for a bet of 12K.

I guess my EV must be + for a shove. 24 x 0.5 = 12k against 12 x 0.5 = 6k

What would you do? (are these figures correct)?

Thanks!

Yup, this is a dream shove spot. Good chance he'll call, but you're a coinflip at worst to double up + dead money + image upgrade... push every time here.

As others said, combo-draw with overs, fist pump shove.

Also, I think in a $1 tourney, you can get raised on this flop with much worse than a set or a flopped straight. You're probably behind, but spiking an ace or an 8 can also be good a lot of the time.

as everyone has said, get all the money in ASAP at the $1 level, he could have J7 (coz as we all know at $1 top pair is the nuts) you could even be ahead of this spot and you just have so many outs plus theres a bit of dead money in the pot, fist pump shoveth
