BTN stats after 73 hands: VPIP 25 PFR 14 Limp 11 and 3-bet 4.55 *side note at this moment he was playing loose trying to recover some chips that he lost previously
SB stats after 52 hands: VPIP 31 PFR 16 Limp 12 and 3-bet 0

Honestly at that time the only thing that I was thinking was that the SB got a set....I don't see him shoving into 2 players with less. Then I thought that this is a $1.10 buy-in and the players are not that good, and that's why I called :cautious::whistle:🤞 I went with my instinct there.

How would you guys play this hand?

Preflop sizing is fine. On the flop the SPR is only a little over 2, and then we are not looking to fold top pair on a dry board, especially not when we also have top kicker. So this is a call all day long. Its way easier for someone to have top pair with a worse kicker than to have a set or two pair. And SB could also be on some random bluff, as in fact he was. I will even go as far as to say, that this line from SB is more commonly a bluff than a strong hand. If he actually flopped a set, why would he just ship it? A set has nothing to protect against on Q82 rainbow, and even recreational players will understand that, unless they are completely new to the game.

I agree, that's hard to say anything else here - you caught an out-of-the-line shove from 1st to act, I never see set here leaning on the fact that some of you must had to call here, the best combinations are Q8s, Q2s or KK, otherwise we are beating all the pockets turned into a late-bluff and every other Qx's, maybe A8, A2, K8, K2. Top pair top kicker is just probably so massive on this dry board to speculate on a badass max-value overpush.

The main lesson to be learned from this hand is how to react to a big donkbet in the middle of the tournament with an effective stack of less than 50 big blinds when you have top pair top kicker or a strong draw (such as flush draw, straight draw or combo draw).
In my opinion, the only profitable play in this situation is to go broke without qualms.
Well done for your call mariussica88 (y)

Agree with others here that this is a pretty easy call since with this specific flop the nut and near nut hands will not be jamming trying to get you to fold. Plus with the stack sizes the way they are TPTK is more than good enough to go with here. The takeaway from this hand in case anyone does not know it is not to play the way villain did here and this is not the way to bluff. They were set mining with 20 BBs which face value does not sound amazing but as long as they were fairly sure BB would not raise behind them and with two already in the hand then its not a such a bad play for less than 2 more BBs. However, with a small pair as villain had and two opponents it should be check call or check raise when a 6 comes and check fold when it doesnt come. Jamming over 2x pot into two players here on this dry flop will get sniffed out very often for the reasons already pointed out. If they have a hand here, why would they want everyone else to fold?

Good call-your study point is to reflect on why your first thought was set -nuts and not weaker hand?
