SB (Hero): 34,735 (35 bb)
BB: 97,091 (97 bb)

Pre-Flop:
(2,625) Hero is SB with K Q
5 players fold, CO calls 1,000, BTN calls 1,000, Hero calls 500, BB raises to 2,000, CO calls 1,000, BTN calls 1,000, Hero calls 1,000

I think that was mistake not raising this on preflop... But what optimal size?

Flop: (9,125) K 7 J (4 players)

Hero ???

Yep great spot to raise it up pre. On the flop you should check and see what happens, likely calling any bet unless the action ahead goes crazy.

Preflop
I dont think, its terrible to just complete here, but raising would certainly also be fine. I would go to 5BB and be willing to get it in against CO both preflop and on most flops. As played you have to call, when BB min-raise. Which by the way is very fishy, when 3 players have already limped. Its almost to the point, where you could consider back-jamming and attack, what looks like a bunch of dead money in the pot.

Flop
As Station_Master say check and evaluate, most likely check-call. Given that it was just a min-raise preflop, and its a multiway pot, it would also not be totally crazy to simply lead out for value to prevent it from getting checked though. If BB or BTN then raise, maybe you can consider folding.

I like calling pre flop more than raising. As fundiver wrote if are going to raise here then we need to go like 5x. First limper started the hand with 18 BBs so I would never expect a call here but either a fold (good) or they jam on us which puts us in a spot since they could limp jam a big hand here too if they that type of player. On top of that, I dont want to play a large hand here when it looks like (depending on BB tendencies) that we will get to see a cheap flop here with a hand that can flop well. When we get min raised the first thing that would pop out of my mouth would be what is this crap as this play makes no sense since no one folds and all it does it bloat the pot for villain who is playing out of position against everyone except us. Its a "move" I see a lot and it makes zero sense to me why people do it. Calling after we get raised is the only play since even though we really think first two limpers are weak now we cant go raising now when we had the chance to raise the first time around.

On the flop I really dont like leading out but its okay to do it since we think there should be a lot of checking due to the number of people in the hand. The reason why I like checking here is I want to punish the min raising villain who made a play pre flop they shouldnt have made. In other words I want to punish them for their mistake and check to them to give them an opportunity to c bet and get themselves stuck. I really hate jam leading since what are we getting called with when almost 4x over bet the pot? Nothing that we beat so you are really wasting a value hand when you are ahead here. We got called which as soon as we are called there we know we are beat and it was really unlucky flop.

This hand plays best as a check call on the flop (unless villain goes nuts with sizing) and then evaluate each street afterward. I think its hard to not give up two streets of value here (maybe certain villains we can have enough of an inkling to consider folding on turn) but no way we should go broke with this hand even at 34 BBs to start.

Ok preflop this is a good squeeze spot when it gets to you vs 2 late limpers- If we call it is with the suited version most often it plays better 4 way but it too can be raised vs limpers- When the BB min clicks and the others just call again we have a good squeeze spot- IP players are very weak BB is also very weak most often as they were with this action-
As played we are never lead shoving on this board- that allows everyone else to play perfectly-
XR is the most common action here on rainbow board
