Is calling worse than shoving here? No stats on villain since we had recently moved tables.

I'm shoving here. The flop will probably bring a scare card and will be a tough decision when he c-bets. I'm not sure if this is a valid reason to shove and may just be because I find it difficult to play jacks after calling a raise and the flop brings a scare card and you find yourself facing a c-bet.

with no villain stats no one can give you grief if you just shipped it here.

Personally, I wouldn't mind flatting with position and then reevaluating otf. At least this late in the tourney. I'm sure it took him some work to get his stack so a 4bet ai pre is usually dominated or flipping AK if he calls

What info do you have on him? What's the overall tournament situation? Are there other situational factors that may warrant consideration? Looking at a hand in isolation isn't always going to lead to the same direction as looking at it in full context?

Im flat calling this and taking a look at the flop. You start the hand with 33bb and will still have 29 left if you fold post flop. Youre in the money and the game is far from over.

But thats just mho, and what do I know. Ive been making mistakes with jacks since way back.

One of the situations where any option fits well imo.
Flatting
Not my fav one cause you can be against kinda of a wide range because of your stacks, he's the chip leader and is just trying to boss around, and if he is kinda of a loose opp i think he can be doing this with ATs+ 77+
Min4bet
You will get the initiative and maybe scare away the bottom of his range(If i was the villian i would be scared by the min4bet cause on this low stakes it usually means strengh)
shove
Maybe a little to agressive once you could still make a bigger 4 bet and get the same folds as a shove, but risking less stack
