Washington Nationals Baseball

The Nationals were able to escape with 2 wins out of 3 games in Denver. In the second game they were up by an amazing
12-2, thanks to 2 homers in part by Dylan Crew and one from James Wood. The Rockies came roaring back and the filnal
score was 12-11. Whew, we takes it. The next game was 3-2, Nats, and we lost the 3rd one 3-1.
Off today then home to Washington for 3 games with the Baltimore Orioles.

Great, we took 2 out of three from the Rockies, and then 2 out of three from the Orioles, 4 out of 6 adds up
to a great 2 series wins. Now we are playing the high flying New York Mets. 4 game series.

Washington managed to win 2 of the 4 games against the Mets, the win leader in MLB with 19 wins. That makes
the Nat's 6 and 4 out of the last10. Good run. Washington came from behind in their 2 wins. Now we go to Philadelphia
to play the Phillies.

Washington managed to win 1 of the 3 games we just had with Philadelphia. The first game was a real nail biter
with the Nat's taking the lead in the top of the 9th and the Phillies taking the win back in the bottom of the 9th 7-6.
The Nats lost the second game 7-2 and took the last game 4-2. Now on to Cinncinati.

Things were better in Cincinnati. We lost the first game 6-1, then won 11-6 and 4-1. Two out of three is good for the Nats.
Now we return back to Washington to play three games with the Cleveland Guardians. Last night was rained out. Today
we play a doubleheader to make up the missed game. Washington pitcher Michael Sosika will return from the injured
list to active status. He struck out 11 over 5 innings in his latest rehab start.

The home stand started okay, We won the first game of the series with the Guardians 10-9. Things blew up in the second
game and we lost 9-1. In the third game, we were up three to nothing but ended up losing 8-6.
Off day today, then the Cardinals come here for a three game weekend series.

The series with the Cardinals was rough for Washington. We managed to lose all 3 games. The first one was an
embarrassing 10-0 loss. We followed up with 4-2 and 6-1 loses. Now on to Atlanta for 4 games. Hope we can do better.

Washington broke their losing streak at 7 games. After losing the first 2 games of the 4 game series with Atlanta.
The Nats got a much needed 5-4 win. We scored 2 runs in the 7th and 2 runs in the 8th inning to tie the Braves.
then one in the 9th, and held on for the win. In game 4, we lost 5-2. Today we start a 3 game series in Baltimore with
the Orioles. Two team with terrible records. Well, one of them will win!

Things are looking up for the Nats. We swept all the games in Baltimore for a 3-0 series. Washington won the first
game 4-3, then the second game 10-6 and today we won 10-4. Washington had 4 home runs in todays game.
Off tomorrow, then home for three games with the Braves.

Another sweep. The Nat's had 3 games with Atlanta. We won the first game 5-3. The second game was rained out
and will be made up in Septrmber as part of a double header. The third game saw the MLB debut of Robert Hassell
replacing Dillion Crews who went on the injured list. Hassell had 2 hits,a stolen base and scored twice. The
third game went 10 innings and the Nats won with a walk-off hit by Amed Rossario giving Washington a five game
winning streak. Now 3 games with the San Francisco Giants.

Washingtons three game series was almost good. We lost the first game 4-0. In the sesond game we
turned things around and and won 3-0. The third game was the rubber game for the series win and
we came up just short and lost 3-2. Now we are in Seattle to play the Mariners 3 games.

The Nationals finished their 3 game series last night in Seattle and came away with an extra inning win. The game was 2-2
going into extra innings and the Nats scored 7 runs in the tenth to win 9-2. Washington lost the first game 9-1, then won
the second game 9-0. Good series against a good team. Now we go to Arizona to play 3 games with the Diamond backs.

Wow,three games in Arizona with the Diamondbacks. To late for me, 3 hour time difference so way past my bedtime.
We one the first game 9-7, won the second game 11-7 and lost the last game 3-1. Good series. Now the Nat's are
home for a three game series with the Chicago Cubs.

Well, close but not quite. Washinhton only won one of the 3 games with the Chicago Cubs. We lost the first game 8-3.
Managed to win the second game 2-0, and lost the third game 7-1. Now 3 games with the Texas Rangers.

Same outcome as the last series. Washington won the first game 2-0 from the Rangers. Then we lost the second game,
5-0. The last game yesterday was won by the Rangers 4-2. We were in the game late but could not quite get there.
Off day today, then the New york Mets for 3 games.

That was a tough series in New York. We lost the first game 5-4 in the 10th inning. The second game went to the Mets
5-0. In the third game, the Mete were up 4-0 in the 9th inning. Washington had a rally but we game up short. 4-3.
Home now for 3 games with the Miami Marlins.

The streak is finally broken. Washington lost 11 games in a row. Terrible streach. Yesterday we won the last game of four
with the Rockies 4-3. Really rough streach. Now we go to the west coast for 6 games with the Dodgers and Padres.

The series with the Dodgers ended yesterday, Washington lost 6-5 in a close first game, then won in a 7-3 contest. The final
game yesterday, we lost by 13 -7. Now on to San Diego and the Padres for 3 games.
