Well Steelers seem to have won the game but lost the season in week 1 with a Watt injury.
Coaches like Tomlin who kick FG's at the 1-2 yard line instead of going for it drive me insane (in 95% of situations), especially when your defense is playing well. Go for it, either get 4 extra points, get a safety, a TD off of a fumble or interception or good field position a high percentage of the time from a turnover or punt (as most teams play conservative in these spots)
Another coaching spot that tilted me was 4th quarter with one minute to go 20-14 on your own 15.
What you should be doing there is telling your entire offense to hold everyone (tackle them!) and have your punter (Harvin) run around in the endzone for as long as possible wasting as much time as possible. Take the safety (Still a TD game) and instead of them getting the ball on their own 40 with 50 seconds left they get it on their ~25 with 40-45 seconds.
^Ofc the ironic part about this is being up 6 in this spot instead of 4 saved them. Of course they would of gotten a TD a lower % of the time.
And my God the offensive line needs to get it together.
