Did you try the new 3 players Blast games on 888?

Hi Pals.

Recently 888 has changed its Blast structure from 4 players to 3 players.
The move has introduce few things like low volatility and new prize structures like $15 for a $5 Blast game for a winner.

I had used a $5 Blast ticket to play a blast game and did win $15 from it.

Have u tried it or not and what your views?

Not a huge fan to be honest but the freeroll win $5 blast ticket leaves you with no other options.
And sure its free with wheel spins so can not really complain if win $10 or $15.

It is a lottery. No actual skills required. I do not like these games. You are just lucky and that is good, but these tickets can be used in more promising tournaments.

Yeah I spend 10c on spinning the wheel this morning. We ended up all in 3-ways in the very first hand, and then someone else had won 20c. I honestly dont care much about these tournaments, so I am pretty indifferent, if they have 3 or 4 players per table. 3 is the industry standard though and will increase the chance for the 5$+ tournaments to finish within 6 minutes, so I guess it is all in all a small improvement? But still nothing that will make me want to play these on a regular basis.

The spin name is Lucky blast spin.

2 $3000 Lucky blast freerolls followed by 2 $1000 Blast freerolls.

Sometimes a promo giving a free blast ticket after winning 4 blast games.

The $3000 blast freerolls are the longest freerolls ever run by 888.
I do not know and will be surprised to see this tourney running on next year as well .

Its not difficult to understand, why poker sites in general promote spins and give away free tickets for them. Spins generate a ton of rake, because they are so fast, and when people have played one to use their ticket, its very tempting to press "play another" to let the fun continue.

The community on the other hand mostly consist of serious poker players, and serious poker players obviously have no interest in playing a game, which is almost impossible to beat due to rake and high variance. Especially the fact, that BLAST is forced all in after 6 minutes, is really not great, if you are looking to beat the game long term.

It used to be fun, and you had a pretty good chance of winning even though it was like bingo. Im not a big fan of the new format, and after risking quite a few games I notice its all low pays, and the chances of winning are pretty low. Sadly I dont play it much anymore

I have tried the new 3 blast games and I dislike it more because the multipliers you are getting less then before.

For example buy in 10c 5x multiplier for 50c 4 players 1st get 35c 2nd gets 15c. Whereas 3 players 3x multiplier 1st get 30c.

Summing up, I feel you are getting less return per buy in now than what it was before.

I finally got up early enough to play the $3k BLAST freeroll this morning (it's at 5 am for me) and won a $5 BLAST ticket.

I just used the ticket and it's my first time playing the 3 man version.
I got a $15 spin and won the game, but I can definitely say I like the new version less than the old version, even though it's easier to finish 1st now.

I'll still play it when I get a free ticket since I don't feel like using those tickets for regular tourneys where I'd have to play 2 or 3 hours to the bubble and likely still just win $10 or $15.

I had like 5 blast freeroll tickets in my account and i werent even too intrested about using them ... Still used 2 of them today and surprisingly in the second one i managed to win 5$ blast ticket which i'm going to use in SnG i think

This game was much better at 4 players..the multiple hit higher now it's just double up if you beat 2 players. Terrible but 88 did it for more money what you gonna do? I play it seldom now

It was a much better game with 4 players and 6 min is lots of time 3 players and 90 percent of the time it's almost double up minus take . Few good spins out of 30 games like 1 maybe
