Under 24 hours ago I signed up to william hill to try out poker, which on their site they have 2 separate accounts for your profile, one for the casino and the other for poker. After not doing well on the cash table, I went to play 3 card brag on my poker account, I ended up getting a huge side bet win of quads. So then I went to withdraw the money and all of a sudden, my poker account got locked, meaning I was unable to transfer my poker balance to my main balance to actually withdraw the winnings. After a bit of back and forth with customer support, I got my winnings transfered to my main account and withdraw them, right now I'm trying to get the remainder of my poker balance to my main balance so that I can play a bit more 3 card poker on my main account and then close my account afterwards.

The fact that my account got locked after a big win is suspicious to me, as if they don't want to pay me what I won, but yeah, don't support William Hill is what I say after my situation.

Edit: Just now when I was about to type out that I feel scammed and robbed of my money by the site, the agent ended the conversation. I'm livid right now.

Thank you for your advice. As a poker player I think one should stick to the Big 3: PS, 888 and GG.

I doubt they would scam u for ur pocket change. Ur account was probably not yet verified and thats it. Please post all emails/conversations with them if you want some real help, otherwise its just baseless accusations.

Thanks.

William Hill is a huge site with millions of accounts . Mistakes can be made.
Did you were rude while chatting with support?
Especially Brits don't like that at all. You must know 😜

Love a bit of 3 card brag - not seen it offered by other poker sites. IF anything you tempt me to sign up :ROFLMAO:

Hope you get your winnings ok, as others have said it might be as your account is too new and not fully verified yet.

I only play on pokerstars at the moment and I remember that there were problems there too, although it was the case that you could only withdraw what you had deposited and you had to wait a certain period of time until you could withdraw what you had deposited again, but as far as I've noticed, this is now different again and it's much easier to withdraw again. But when it comes to your problem, assume that you may not have fully had your account verified yet and then you will find such problems on every poker site when it comes to withdrawing

Just a little update, I did get my money back in the end and it was processed to my account with no issue. It was the fact that my account got locked after a big win was suspicious with me, I was polite to customer support throughout the process, even when it was starting to get stressful. I've closed my account now from the site. Also the argument of my account being too new and not fully verified seems valid also.

Cool good for you. Was a bit too early to make a thread about a site and accusing them no? I doubt they will miss u as a customer. But i also have to say how they dealt with this was not very professional (ending conversations like u said for example).

There are definitely better places to play than i-poker thats for sure.

Yeah no, you're right, I did make this thread in a heat of the moment situation, but at least the issues is fixed.

Yeah i understand and lets be honest these support guys from pokerrooms can be very annoying to deal with sometimes.

I won $5,500 in a freeroll at William Hill (& a hat, a hoodie, trip to Vegas wsop and a few other goodies).

I've played at close to 10 different iPoker network sites. I've had a bit of difficulty with support staff on a couple of them but it ALWAYS worked out in the end, usually to my benefit (ie. Bet365 told me I needed to gamble a certain % of my bankroll in order to make a WD on it... it was a very small balance but it just made it very inconvenient for me. So I put ALL of it on a longshot Alpine ski event (World Cup downhill) at 15 to 1 odds and I WON! lol.. tks bet365).

Today I still play on Titan Poker (another iPoker network site) and actually just made a deposit this evening (after losing my bankroll on UFC bets). I'd be playing on williamhill as well but a few years back they stopped doing business with Canadians (not sure if that's changed now).

Because your account was not verified. All sites do this, and the solution is to get your account verified, as soon as you have opened it.

This ^ statement was incorrect! I like to be accurate so for this one I'll include a screenshot (as it's my info. and not info. of somebody else.. ie. 'a friend'). It was 5,000 euros not dollars. And at the time this worked out to just over $7,000 Cdn.
