I only play freerolls on Pokerstars but I totally agree with you. You read a lot of poker books, how and when raise, how you should play like a pro. And after that you try to play poker on this site and nothing works.
For example: Any time when I raise with premium hands before the flop and someone calls, they will definitely win. That’s why, no matter what premium card I have, I don’t raise because it’s guaranteed that the villain will win, whatever he has. This is a problem because everything you read is useless when you play online, making it impossible to improve yourself.
You could say it's an exaggeration, but it's my experience. Every time when I ever won, it was just because I played the way I shouldn't have. So thank you Jokerstars.
I still haven't given up on pokerstars, but the amount of games played there decreases, I also really believe that there is something behind, which chooses the players who should win. The variance and other factors that are said to exist in pokerstar I think have very little influence on losses, but rather that pokerstars choose who should win and who should not.
