I was forced to leave this room, as players from Russia were blocked. Why is poker associated with politics?!

I play PS.
Their customer service in my experience doesn't exist but I like them.
Their reward system in my opinion is extremely inadequate but I like them still.
I believe they are fair in terms of game play and the bad beats happen as often as in a live game. However, I have realized that I've experienced more bad beats online than live just because of the bigger number of hands that I am able to play online for a certain period than I am able to play in a live game for the same time period, but I think the ration remains the same.

It's all about timing, i.e. folding the 2nd nuts at the right time and avoiding the feared all-in bad beat.

I don't understand why someone wants to leave a poker room, if its a big and famous one.:confused:
I've tried multiple poker rooms available in my country. PokerStars was the most successful one between them from all aspects (winnings, prize pools, software, rewards, support...etc).
I'm not defending the room but its my opinion based of my experience with them for years, and might instantly leave at any mistake.
I see many people say that they have high rake and fees, and to me I think its acceptable next to places where I used to pay more. Of course each person plays in room that suits his money.

I haven't completely left poker stars, but I don't play tvm more than once every two months.there's something with the software, it's always a problem to find tournaments when playing with a PC, the location for some reason conflicts too.so the rooms themselves are good in design.the counters are also not bad.here with the platinum level on the cardchat, maybe I will play there more often.)

I’m in the US with three options (Poker Stars, BetMGM[partypoker], and now wsop).

Started with Pokerstars but I’ve moved over to WSOP and probably won’t ever look back.

At least in the US version of pokerstars - I dislike that the only microstake tournaments are nearly all turbos/hypers.
Plus they don’t have 9 man SNGs.

WSOP feels better for microstakes - so that’s probably where I will stay.

I feel like more that it was PS that left me and many other players, just because they don't care so much for some countries, even if the game law changed.
The support is really the worst right now, the most stupid thing ever happened is me choosing a username, and someone inside chose another one for me. Unbelievable.

I only play freerolls on Pokerstars but I totally agree with you. You read a lot of poker books, how and when raise, how you should play like a pro. And after that you try to play poker on this site and nothing works.
For example: Any time when I raise with premium hands before the flop and someone calls, they will definitely win. That’s why, no matter what premium card I have, I don’t raise because it’s guaranteed that the villain will win, whatever he has. This is a problem because everything you read is useless when you play online, making it impossible to improve yourself.
You could say it's an exaggeration, but it's my experience. Every time when I ever won, it was just because I played the way I shouldn't have. So thank you Jokerstars.

I've been playing on PokerStars since 2009, I don't see any difference from other sites, I like it, although sometimes I don't have much consistency in some hands

I will not deny your experience in online poker, but let me tell you something. You're right, however you don't expect to see same quality games as you withnessing in high level professional games. These are freerolls, and people do not have anything to lose. They will play lot of garbages out of ranges, positions and doesn't care if you did 3B on Low Jack position. Random hands will call and if they hit a pair no way they're folding:)
There's different strategy and play style required to use in freerolls. CC freerolls are best out there, because there're many good players who's aware of any theories, ranges and tricks. Still, don't dissapoint when the results are worse whilst playing good poker. Afterall it's still poker so sometimes if you do everything right, you might still lose.

Unfortunately in my country there is so little choice of poker rooms, so I still play rarely at PokerStars. I'll just have to be patient and try to grow my bankroll with freerolls. Hopefully Ill build the $109 bankroll before my birthday so I can play one of those Sunday tourneys. I just hope I last lol

I still haven't given up on pokerstars, but the amount of games played there decreases, I also really believe that there is something behind, which chooses the players who should win. The variance and other factors that are said to exist in pokerstar I think have very little influence on losses, but rather that pokerstars choose who should win and who should not.

I haven't played on any other site for years. The Black Friday domain seizures nearly killed on-line poker. Then there was the consolidation of networks, especially the phasing out of Crypto-Logic.

Sorry but only because you read certain books it not makes you automatically a winner. You might missunderstood some of the concepts you read about.

If you play your hands correctly you will for sure not always lose with premiums. Not on stars, not on other pokersites and not in live poker. A lot of advanced beginners think the game is rigged because they lose but they simply make tons of mistakes and/or not put in enough volume.

My first adventure with poker started at pokerstars. I never thought to change the poker room because this one suits me. There are many different possibilities when it comes to tournaments.

I often get tiled with PS because some outcomes just seem surreal, but then I realized - that happens to me on GG just as much - if not more.

Sometimes, sometimes! It all comes down to poker being a game of chance, and I don't think anyone ever benefits from alleged stack size based turnout setups.

I haven’t left but very frustrated because they wouldn’t accept prepaid visa even though it says they will. They wanted me to use other method but I use it to keep me from overspending. So had to go to another site to play.
