I left that site years ago, after playing there for years, because nothing made me remember for the poker. Variance, probability, nothing was countable with live poker for more than half year. Last year I gave a month try again, it was the same. I'd like to know others opinion, whose left it, why, where do you play now? What differences do you see?

It is only a matter of choice for each person, because the reasons differ from person to person. As for my pokerstars experience, sometimes I feel like they want to take my money and say the opposite on other days. As for the difference between poker sites, I think there is no difference in the hand scheme or something, but the real and tangible difference is the difference of players from one poker site to another.
Yes, as I said, the difference in players makes each site have positive and negative characteristics for us as gamers. For example, if a poker site has a large number of participants such as pokerstars, be sure that you will face opponents whose level and behavior in poker varies according to their financial, intellectual and skill capabilities. So my advice to you is to choose one or two poker sites at most to adapt to the site and the players.

I was thinking about leaving but then I decided to stay because the casino is pretty decent and I enjoy the free spins every day.

Good afternoon.Nowadays, I only play the CC freerolls and some sit&goes or spin&goes every now and then.I don´t like the Aurora graphics nor the reward system.I play more on 888 and party poker these last years.

The same debate has been taking place for years now. I mean the one about variance. We should admit once and for all that the randomness of a shuffled deck of 52 cards cannot always or most of the time fall in our favor. It's the same thing on every site and even in live games. What really makes a difference is the way we play and the competition we face.
With that said, I have to add that Pokerstars went through huge changes over the years, and definitely NOT for the better from the player's perspective. To name a few downfalls, one could mention the disappearance of the freezeouts with guaranteed prizes as well as the nice rebuys, the introduction of the ridiculous long late registration periods and even the exaggerated number of those KOs. But the worst has to do with the increase of rake and their new reward system. They clearly treat their players as retards thinking that they would stick around forever. Also worth mentioning is the worst software upgrade I've ever seen : Aurora !

Many people have attributed the decline of Team Pro recently as being due to the fact that Amaya purchased the PokerStars brand in 2014. Once the $4.9 billion acquisition took place, the new owners opted to take the poker platform in a different direction, with multiple changes occurring in the proceeding years.

I left Poker Stars after they bought out their main competitor FullTiltPoker and then destroyed it and I couldn't forgive them. By the way, I read in this article that they still can't get a license in Germany. Karma !

I thought FullTilt went bust and it was only when Pokerstars bought them players funds were released?

I remember playing there before bounties but nevertheless you would get your entry fee back if you knocked a pro out in a tournament. That was fantastic, and they even sent me a t-shirt with a donkey on with boxing gloves saying you knocked a pro out at full tilt poker and it was actually a cool t-shirt. I did like their site.

Pokerstars Casino and Sportsbook are already growing fast so I don't think they care much if they are losing some poker players. They are looking for recreational players and any serious poker players will disappear over to GG or others.

I do not think that's quite the case. I have seen pro's recommending not to play Pokerstars for sites that have softer play. GG does not let you use your own hud, everyone shares the same free one on site to equalise the playing field. partypoker keep getting you to change you name to avoid tracking software and also ban huds so I think these sites are targeting non-pro's more.

Obviously all sites want to target new players and casual players though as they are the bulk of the field.

Poker

I had an idea to leave this room due to the incorrect operation of the software. But I love pokerstars so much that I had to get used to their graphics engine AURORA.

I don't left, but started to play much more at ACR/BCP for the same reasons. I just don't left 100% beacuse there is a lot more options at PS.

Hi guys, its been quite a while for me being here with the pandemic and all.
But, alas here i am

Well, i was doing quite reasonable on Stars before the pandemic hit, i was busy building my bankroll (personal bankroll challenge) from $0- $10.000.
Thanks to CC and its freerolls i was able to build up some momentum and hit the tables where it went up and down.

Had to stop because of the pandemic and am going to hit the tables back now.

Playing on Stars is not as it was a few years back, but if you show patience and make lots of notes, i think the game is still beatable or else it wouldn't have been possible for a fish like me to build my bankroll from 0- 1k+:deal:

Of course the rake is high, the rewards are next to nothing, the new features like aurora are irritating, BUUUTTTT if you want the cash than its there you have to be, cuz the fields are bigger which makes the prizepool larger:icon_sant

So see you guys at the tables and GOOD LUCK!!!!:joyman:

P.S. I don't think i'll be leaving there (yet)

Poker Stars

For me it is obvious that the best poker provider is the giant poker stars. I've spent a lot of time there in my time and played in many tournaments. Those were the good times

I realise this is an old thread that has been dredged up so hoping it's OK to add my comment.

I only play at stars. It is the only site I 100% trust.

However... I hate these throwables!

I sometimes let my granddaughter sit with me and she just throws shit around the table.

Don't see the point of it myself.

well I think the opposite of you I think that along with ggpoker, 888, pokerstars is one of the biggest and those who grind regularly can't leave it out of their grid, due to the size of the prize pools. there , many .:)

I believe that this is a way to show your emotions without being rude or anything else negative, and by the way, the way is not the worst!
It seems to me that no one ever reads the chat anyway ... :(

I respect the reasons of those who have stopped playing at poker stars. But how not to play in one of the biggest rooms... :D

If you are not banned there is no reason to leave one of the best sites there is. People here who are talking about more variance on stars or "that live poker is more real or trustworthy" do not really understand variance and poker in general. Pokerstars is just tougher than other sites and poker is poker in the end. They only distribute cards on stars just like any other (online) casino.

My cousin was successful but left out of frustration of the second best preflop hand winning most of the time.I'm still there.

I don't know what the hands is like elsewhere but I suspect it's similar to the one here on PS.
I think this is a global phenomenon, just like everything else.
Under the guise of the illusion of variability and choice, centralization is taking place.

I still haven't given up on pokerstars, but the amount of games played there decreases, I also really believe that there is something behind, which chooses the players who should win. The variance and other factors that are said to exist in pokerstar I think have very little influence on losses, but rather that pokerstars choose who should win and who should not.
