Can someone explain to me how it works, where I can get it, how much they give back to you, etc? Thanks:confused:

Rakeback (eng. Rakeback) - the return of rake, that is, the commission, which the poker room removes from each player's bet. Rake meets at the end of each poker hand. Rakeback is an added bonus.

An old term and incentive used to keep players playing. (online poker)

Rake is the fee poker charges per hand. In a 4/8 LIVE limit game at my casino, every hand's rake is 5 dollars.

Now online back in the poker boom, used a tactic where all the rake you paid a certain "kickback" was given back to you. Depending on the site you affiliated with they would compete for best rakeback percentages. A common site was Railbirds.com

However most successful online poker now uses Player Points that you accumulate to redeem swag and tech.

the important thing to note for sum1 new to poker is this:

Rake is the fee to play a hand in the chance to scoop pots.

Rakeback is virtually non existent in poker but used to be like a small refund.

Similar to a coffee shop where you buy 5 coffees and you get the 6th free.

Cuz guess what, it makes you buy more coffee

;)

This is an obsolete term. earlier regular players received it as wages. and then it became unprofitable for poker rooms.

Some of the smaller networks and sites you can still get very good deals. Ipoker have sites like betfair where you can get 35% rakeback and Micro gaming skins all have 30% rakeback. Affiliates usually offer another 10% for monthly rakeraces in addition to the rakeback as well.pokerstars has the high traffic volume but in recent years have become notouriously bad towards players with incentives. But smaller networks will have off peak very low traffic hours. So a good middle ground is to play a major site during low traffic hours on the smaller sites. One major affiliate that has been offering the top deals for decades is RakeTheRake.com.
