I really like pokerstars. It’s the only platform I play on and I have found it fair and the players are a well balanced mix of fish and sharks.

A huge poker room. It changed a lot in the last 5 years. I remember when I started playing, they used to run freerolls all the time. So we had a chance to built a little bankroll and also learn new poker formats for free. I learned Badugi, PLO8, HORSE back in the day.

Now I believe the competition got really hard for them in the market. partypoker is now aggresive like they used to be in the gold era, so no space for mistakes by the companies anymore.

But don't get me wrong: they aren't really worried about professional players experience. All companies are focused in results and recreational players. You can see this very clearly in the Bounty Tournaments growing fast in the last couple years. They are offering more and more reentry tournaments, so everybody can take several shots. And of course, we can't forget the rake.

PokerStars is maybe the greediest poker room in the scene. They are not hiring pros for their crew like they used to. People like Ike Haxton, Liv Boerre and even Daniel Negreanu left the company 'cause they were not following the "new rules".

That said... the major online poker rooms still offering the best tournament and ring games and probably won't change anytime soon. PokerStars gives you the best number of choices when it comes to experiment several poker formats. No other can do that yet.

So if you want to play, I really believe it is a great place to learn the game and improve.
But other poker rooms are doing a great job too. So try different experiences and search the best option for you.

Have fun!

I asked that question because among the other poker platforms that I play on PS, I like the designer the most and I think the way of the rooms of the platform itself is very good, but I started to notice a favor for those who have more chips, with myself already happened both losing and winning hands that are practically impossible

Pokerstars has so much variety of games and when there is up and coming promotions, it just adds more exciting poker. Also very seldom does tournaments get cancelled as there are so many of US poker players playing online.

I don't think it's rigged or something as some people think.

I played on PS since their day 1 back in the early 2000s. a lot has changed since then. What remains is the huge number of cash tables, tourneys and SNGs. You never have to waste time waiting, there's always a spot for you anytime at any stakes. Though party poker is a huge one, I personally prefer PS software.
On the other hand, the increase in rake, the decrease in freerolls number, and the longer late registration periods are the negative aspects compared to the old days. They know that playing poker is almost like smoking; could you quit ?

I like the shell of Pokerstars
But when you play for a long time and lose in a row several times with a great hand on the last card, it seems that everything is adjusted.

Bigest online poker room in the world, and with that goes every thing bad. Biggest rake, no care for players, sometimes I have feeling that I never can win, no matter how I play and what kind of cards I have, sometimes I can’t lose and it’s all because rng adjustments. Pokerstars Rng favours bad, recreational and amateur players , making them feel like they know how to play, and when lose , they’ll deposit again. It’s tough to play in that kind of game, when you are constantly beaten by the opponent who have one or two outs, and miraculously hit them on the river. On the other online poker rooms happens to, but not so often. I really liked to play there, because of the traffic, lots of different games, and everything else, but now I don’t.

Yes I agree with you. I’ve only played on PS for a couple of weeks and I’ve had a lot of bad losses. Also I’ve noticed a lot of trips and straights in the first couple of hands. I don’t play them hands anymore.
888 seems to have the least bad beats in my opinion

I always played in fultilt before becoming PokerStars, I confess that I didn't like this merger, so I started playing at partypoker, where I have more success with the variances, regarding promotions and frerrom, PokerStars leaves something to be desired in my view

It is the only platform I use, I am very confident in their integrity and I believe it is one of the only ones that is diverse in the types of games.

I should have listened to my own advice. First hand just now with pocket aces. Got bet with pocket queens.
Maybe I’m on to something and should bet big with nothing on the first hand of a mtt.
This can’t be a coincidence.
Literally my first game since I posted about this.

PokerStars is an excellent poker site that has been a leader among poker rooms for a long time and in my opinion will remain so in the next few years !!!

It’s a normal poker site. I like him in every way. Many sites can not boast so many players in their room.

I have the same vision as you, the platform is very good but the gameplay does everything for you to lose it always comes with that impossible card to defeat you, I made an account at 888poker and I play on PS, but I certainly say in the world you lose both but at 888poker you have a lot of chances to win with almost 0 probability to win and not to mention that it is practically impossible for you to recover in a tournament on PS already at 888poker I have raised several times.

Pokerstars has been horrible since casino's closed. It's not due to an increase in players. It's the software. Aces come up every flop. If an ace doesn't come you can be sure the board will be paired.

Pocket 2's hit almost every time. If you have them go all in and you will hit the 2 on the flop 9 times out of 10.

Quads have been hitting like crazy as well.

Losing on the river to 1-2 outters happens so often that I now expect it to happen.

Flopped a straight today just to see a guy donk a set on the turn and then a boat on the river.

Bad play is consistently rewarded on pokerstars

Horrible promotions. They don't give crap for promotions and when they do it's always a 25% deposit bonus so that they can get more $$$.

Love to see more people with similar experiences. To me it just doesn't seem legit that the best hands ALWAYS lose. I mean it would be great to see AK beat AJ just once
