What do you think about 888 poker? Any winning player here?

I played here for the last 2-3 years. Mostly loosing because i like those blast sng. A lot of variance, little skill etc.
This weekend a question was on my mind.
What the hell is with the rng on 888, every f***ing time it goes bad. For over 3 years i felt that something is wrong but i didnt care too much because i thought it was variance.
I know how poker works and what variance means. But here is different. And im not a "poker is rigged guy".
So i searched on google for more info about them and found on trustpilot more than 400 negative reviews with ppl complaining with the humongous amount of bad beats on 888 compared with others.
Now you can say: All of them are fishes, complaining blabla. Not interested in this tho.

Well im trying to find ppl that are actually winners on 888 over the long run and tell me if they feel the bad beats more in 888 compared with other sites.Not in blast, because i dont think they are beatable, but in sng/cash or maybe mtts. If you can share some graphs/roi/winnings would be nice. But only over a considerable amount of hands/tournaments.
And another one: Would the structure of blasts(hyper sng) could distort the perception of bad beats? As you could think more bad beats come your way because of the fast playing?

Absolutely yes. Fast games tend to be more tilting, because the time span between losing is shorter, so there is less time for negative emotions to go away, before the next loss occur. I can even feel that, when I occationally play SnGs rather than MTTs, and BLAST is a very extreme version of SnGs.

As for the perception of "bad beats" it will also tend to be worse in games, where the effective stack is short. This is because, players are more commenly all in preflop or on the flop, which mean, they get to realise all their equity, when they are behind. Even though its not technically a bad beat, a lot of people feel that way, if for instance they have AsKs against their opponents 3c3h, all the chips go in preflop, and then the runout is something like AcJc2h5c9c giving their opponent a 1-liner to a flush on the river. Whereas if stacks are deep, then most likely 3c3h fold on the flop, and then the "bad beat" will not happen.

As you say yourself BLAST games are very high variance and probably not even beatable because of the rake. If your goal is to win money, then in my experience the best games on 888 Poker is their MTTs. This is, what my graph looks like playing >95% MTTs and <5% SnGs. Username fundiver198. Do you think switching to spin and goes will down that perception of "lots of bad beats" because the timer is not available on pokerstars?
To be honest i wanna switch but i go back and forth with cash and spins and cant consider wich is better. Unfortunately my time is limited for mtts.

Their goal is too put you on sports betting and casino with their marketing offers. Because they know when player is cashing, tournamenting or betting they will loose at the time...

In Spain it's still good for tournaments as there is not many players, offer is bad..
Rush is bad.. after 4 there is 20 players on all stakes. Gets more a bit later but you start playing with the same people who I think cheat and play with friends... not much players, live sports betting gets blocked, casino fixed to loose.

Rating mediocre if you play tournaments it's great for weekends.
Cash is to gamble and play with more card range and with 70% after flop chances all in move... which leads to conclusion you need a bankroll good one and invest to have stategy and will make profits on the long run.
Remember 888 is a sight that is doing so much tricks and investing on marketing to fool you... if you have no goal you will, and up like me watching and betting football and Tennis masters then what you actually came for.

You can always choose to restrict yourself from casino/sports betting on 888. So you can play only poker.

Many winning players are professional or semi-professional, and maybe they prefer to spend their time grinding or studying, rather than writing in a forum. If you play MTTs or SnGs and see someone on the table, who appear to be a decent regular, you can look them up at sharkscope. Some have an open profile, and I can assure you, there are quite a few winners on 888. Even if they did not opt in, you can still see their ability. In the open profiles I have never seen anyone with an ability rating higher than 70, who were losing over a large sample, so its a decent indication.

Maybe older computers can have a problem with it, but I run a completely standard low end laptop from 2020, and I have no problems at all. And I really think, the lobby needed an update. The previous one looked like, it was from 2005, and it probably was. This might not matter much to regulars, but it matter to recreational players, and without attracting new recreational players to the games a poker site will slowly die

I have never had success at 888 poker. It’s tough not to think that algorithms might impact come players more than others. I do believe that some players have more consistency with winning and they might have invested interests in the site as well. It’s hard not to buy into the conspiracy theory… especially if you run bad year over year… the odds favour at least 1 winning year…. You would think… right?????

I like 888poker, I have only won there like 6 bucks in total. I don't have much luck there, but I do like the way it is. I find the tournaments are like turbos, the blinds go up so fast. You have to play hands you normally wouldn't play, cause of the blind structures. But I like it cause tournaments don't last that long, just can't be as patient as you normally would be at other poker sites. Still a good poker room to play at, but not lots of winnings I got there.

I’m not a winning player, tho not a losing player either.
I came back to poker last year after a few years off, I’ve gone from 0 to $100+ 5 times last year, if not for my bad bankroll management, and addiction to the snap tables(where I lose my MTT winnings) I’d have a decent roll.
I’ve won 7 $109 tickets plus others in this time and have been close to the money in the 3 I played this year, missed by 5 places yesterday when my KK<AA
I deposited $10 a decade ago, and $30 in Jan cuz that 0 to hero is a tough battle (but easy enough)
I really should just deposit a few hundred and play $5+ games instead of freerolls…
My balance is about $50 right now
Only site I play on nowadays except the odd time I go on stars

You don't have a fixed rakeback but you felt you got some all the time. This was really positive, aside from the softer player pool.
