Before registering for a new poker room the first thing I check it's if cardschat offer freeroll.
The most important things is to check if I can play there for my country.
Then come Deposit/withdraw option.
Some poker room can have a good deposit, but bad withdraw option.
Live support is also important if we got issues.
I will play more in a poker room if I like the software.

I check if I can play from my country/state, if I can I sign up. Usually I try to play some freerolls and then see if I can cash out. If the cashout works I just play as normal if there are hassles I delete the client.
