Get paid at the tables

We know that some of you know about Rakeback and that’s great.
But we recently discovered that 9/10 players do not receive rakeback on their play because they have never heard of it.

So, what is rakeback? And why do you need this? can someone explain to me? , I received this offer by email and I was curious.

Now you can see such ads on casino banners. On bets and so on, here I haven’t seen this in poker, well, as I understand it, it has come here :)

Rake back is what the word says , some of the rake , meaning the fee you give to the online poker operators for tournaments or the cash games or spins , back(usually the rake is 10% for tournaments ,or sth more for tournaments on Stars , for cash games some very low pots are not raked, for the other higher pots , the rake is less than this of the tournaments , and there is a maximum rake for every stake :) .
The percentage of this rake you take back I believe is between 5% and 10% on Stars , without taking into consideration the extra freerolls you get as a gift or the spin tickets you also get in the Stars chests . On Bwin or partypoker the rakeback might be even 40% for the players that play a lot of money , but it's on a weekly base , and it's released after accumulating some rake points for the online poker room , but also they have other promotions , scratch cards , combined promotions with casino games , so more opportunities for you to get rake or money back :):)
On ACR I don't know percentage , but you need to play a lot and accumulate a lot of points to get a lot of rake back . On 888poker the rakeback is in freerolls for your VIP level and tickets , or also bonuses and other freeroll money , so the rakeback might be big if you play well in thesefreerolls , or not much if you are not good . )

The bad thing is that in some sites or for some promotions , you have to opt-in yourself in the rake-back or cash back feature . If someone , like a novice player , doesn't know about this , he might lose a lot of money back especially if he's a new player , who , imo , might start playing a lot of games , so their rakeback will be more . Every week you have to opt in , if you forget you don't get rakeback . As a beginner you have to write the bonus code when you register for extra bonus cashback , or else you won't receive it , or hope the support will show understanding when you emeil them . Stars reward cheests also need opting-in , butthis is done only once , not every week :)

When I first started on pokerstars , I didn't kniw about the bonus promotion , learnt it later , emailed support , which activated it and gave me some $10 of extra rakeback for the newcomers , cause as a loose fish , I was playing a lot of cash games then , so the rakeback was more . Also i didn't know about the freerolls (not even some which were for VIP level players such as my chromestar level :(), so I was depositing every day with paysafe cards !!!

Even if you get rakeback, you still pay rake.

In the past there were frequent player points on Stars as a kind of rakeback.
But those indirect rakeback days are over, now we have some coins there, but seldom.

Every room has other forms of rakeback, I remember a splash the pot model on RunitOnce for instance.

Rakeback is always good, always take it, because then you have to beat lower rake. Remember, you not only have to beat the other players, you also must beat the rake of the house. If the rake is too high, then sometimes even very good players can become unprofitable.

In cash games its "the rake", in tourneys "the fee" or "the juice".
