So, I was playing micro millions tournament and was 2 hours in with 200k stacks. I saw someone lose with full house to flush all ins. Unfortunately, I forgot to screenshot that hand as it went by quickly. But a couple of hands later, I lost with 2 Aces to 2 eight after river. I have the screenshot and it says straight from ace to nine like what?? Am I tripping or is it legit? I also contacted their customer service and they just said that full house is higher than flush and ignored the screenshot.

I don't know how to post image here. Here is the screenshot link to ace and pocket eight hand: https://prnt.sc/1dl29xe

Instead of posting strange links you can upload the screenshot using text editor so we can browse the image in your post.

A straight flush does beat a full house. Could have been that. I have never seen a site mix up any hands before. I admit i was like say what at time but when I looked and the previous hand it was usually my mistake and not the site.

That was my first thought as well. I've been in that situation before and when i check the hand history (right there in upper left corner in PS) it's my quick reaction mistake not seeing that one card that changes the whole thing. Or if i've had a few, completely missing a straight out there because was focusing on a flush or vice versa. So, without an actual hand history, my bet would also be that it went by so fast, OP missed the actual situation.

Or maybe it was just a game with a short deck? Where the lowest card is 6, and the lower straight is from ace to 9. 6+ holdem if I'm not mistaken.

We have a winner!

I should try to remember that every "HOW THE HELL DID THIS FULL HOUSE LOSE!?!?' thread can be answered with two words; "short deck". :deal:

Guess it's time for me to give up any hope of being a winning poker play, oh wait, short deck, never mind.

It is possible though I had no idea that I was playing short deck. I just entered the tourney in the tournament section. But it explains a lot of things and it was pretty action packed.
It was also my first time playing short deck.

The series on pokerstars like MicroMillions, WCOOP, SCOOP and so on and so forth always offer a variety of different poker games. And it is obvoiusly rather important to notice, which game you are going to be playing, and to at least know the rules of that game. And if you dont then just play another tournament instead ;)

Both of these cases tell us that you played a 6+ hold'em turnament. Unfortunately you didn't make a screen shot, then we could probably see that.

Pretty sure this was a straight flush that beat the fullhouse. I have been playing on this site for a while and have never seen the sytem make an era like that. When the hand is over a second later comes the next hand so maybe your eyes were playing a trick on you. Just saying. Capo1014

For sure Short Deck tourney. First time I played I went out with FH beat by a flush and was convinced it was a site error - but googled short deck rules (should have done this first) and got the hand rankings. I did find that different sites do have slight variations to hand rankings though so always check site you're on before jumping into a short deck game - gl.

I have read short deck rules and decided that is not my game.
Good to have some 'pros' respond in this thread with the solution.
Never believed PStars could have miscalculated a hand so badly, given the billions of hands played on the site.

I have witnessed worse on 888 poker

Back when this thread was made in july 2021, it was quickly varified, that it must have been a short deck tournament, where the rules are, that a flush beat a full house. So there is nothing strange or weird about this at all, and it has nothing to do with 888 Poker. Very low quality post by you :(

It's Holdem 6+. Opponent collected a nine-high straight and won. And in 6+ holdem a flush is higher than a full house. Such rules

I didn't see it on pokerstars, but I had a chance to see it once, even if not at a tournament, but in a friendly company, but I had a chance to see how two people clashed, no one expected to see not just a straight flush, but a whole royal flush)))

To me this looks like a "Short Deck" Game. In Short Deck there is no 2,3,4, or 5 so you are playing with 16 fewer cards and the Ace is played High or Low so becomes the 5 Likewise that would also explain why a "Flush" beat a "full house".
In Short Deck Poker a Flush does beat a full house If Pokerstars have introduced Short Deck Poker you have to be careful for what game you are actually buying into, I registered for a game once and did not realise I was buying into a "Omaha" game, when I was dealt 4 cards on the first hand I was confused, as I had never played Omaha before, I obviously lost, but I became interested in the format and played more games after I had studied the rules more and actually prefer Omaha now to Holdem.
In the main Lobby games can change fast and when you try to register for a specific game it disappears when full, and another game changes to that position in the list, so be very careful when registering for popular games as they can change fast.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I've never seen any errors like this, on any poker site, maybe you got confused.
