I caught a royal flush on Noble Poker at a .05/.1 pot-limit table. It was right after I had lost like a 28$ pot and was down to $1.75. I had the K of hearts was all-in pre flpp with KK. Two people must have hit a flush because pot went up to like $20. I had a flopped a Royal Flush draw I needed a J. It hit on the turn, but I was all in and couldnt bet anymore. The pot got to like $50+. It was the biggest pot I had ever seen on the .05/.1 tables, and I had a Royal Flush. I ended up winning $6.25. I hit a Royal Flush and was mad about it. Moral of the story is I used to think low buy-in meant u could go all-in on a good hand and if u got beat u had not lost much. I had only brought $1 to the table and had made it to liuke $11 and then lost all but the 1.75. Why could I not have bought more dhips? AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
I've got all the posts so far beat on this topic I think. I just started online play recently , on the ESPN site - all freerolls and play $. I hit my royal flush like the second or third day I started playing and got 4 people to go all in with me in the process for $7000 FAKE freeroll tournament dollars...4 of the 5 cards were on the table too
I did get a straight flush once for real $ but the ultimate monster hand, together with the smooth betting to make it pay, has so far only happened for me in fantasy-land
Yeah royal flushes arent that uncommon, sure. I havent had one yet in my few years online. I was in a room where a guy folded with a royal flush. It was the entire board, flop was the as qs ts, turn, js, river ks, there were only two people still in at the time. One guy went all in and the other dork folded. I laughed my tail off at that one.
I flopped a royal flush in a home game and I was heads up against a buddy of mine, He's the type who will bluff at everything, so I check after the flop, he checks, check after the turn, he checks, at this point I'm starting to worry about not making any money off this, despite that, after the river I checked again and he raised me all in, best feeling in the world.
i am one of those "not so lucky" when it comes to getting the royal. i do, however, see them quite regular. i have had a few, and you will get yours in time. be cautious, and play it smart to maximize your $$$$. go get em!!
