pokerstars not to long ago, had a promotion that required you to pay 600$ in rake to get 200$ back. I decided I wanted to go for this.

I played all month long, 2/5cent, about a week left of the challenge, and on track to complete, Pokerstars froze my account and sent it to there responsible gaming team.

No response from Pokerstars in an entire week. By the time they responded the challenge was up.

Last time I ever play on Pokerstars, they give you a promotion that requires you to play like 8 hours a day, and then freeze your account right before you can complete, and then say sorry promotions no longer available.

I've never been so pissed off in my life at a Pokersite. Greasy.

Well if they do it to me and a bunch of other people all of a sudden that 200$ becomes a lot of money.

Also if your logic is correct, why would they even care about Microstakes? Why would they even support it.

Why do they make chests expire? To save pennies on chests? Why would they care also if your logic is correct.

Obviously your logic isn't correct and companies do many many things to try and save money. This could easily be one of them.

You account was not frozen to prevent you from collecting the bonus. It was frozen, because they suspected a serious gambling problem. Which is something, they are legally required to take action on in most countries. The timing of this was just inconvenient for you. Thats all.

Then someone from Stars should explain why they are offering people promotions which require the persons to either,

a) Gamble 8 hrs a day,
or
b) Gamble outside of there means.

It just doesn't make sense. Obviously they are encouraging people to gamble irresponsibly (at best), and scamming people at worst.

PokerStars has frozen your account. You mentioned that they responded to you a week later. What did they say?

Lots of people are playing 8 hours a day on Pokerstars. I have also done it, when I played at Stars and for instance had vacation. So there is more to your story than just playing 8 hours a day. What it is, I obviously dont know. As for that particular promotion, sure you can say, that it encourage people to gamble more, and this might also be the reason, why its not offered in all countries. But then again nobody force anyone to take advantage of it, and its essentially no different from traditional rake-back programs, which some sites still run.

Humanly, I sympathize with you. Rhinestones saw active gaming activity at the limit of $ 0.01 - $ 0.02 cents and it puzzled them? They were once again reinsured, since they can do repeated checks at any time. Don't worry, now you won't have force majeure in a good game. It is worse when you are the chip leader in an expensive tournament and your account is blocked for verification at that time, and you will only have a couple of dollars in the final table. Good luck to you . Karma must return your potential reward to you.

you need to provide more information. best would be you post all the emails you had with stars here. why exactly was your account frozen?

you played 8 hours a day 2/5 cent for a month for collecting 200 dollars, is that correct?

Pokerstars explained to you why they blocked your account? I imagine how frustrating this situation was to you.
I really don't like most of the PS promotions and I already gave up of them, unless you already play cash games there regulary, I don't think the prizes or bonus of their promotions worth to deposit there.

Oh, I sympathize with you! I would be very upset about this. You sit and play for a whole month, and as a result, your account is frozen. Did they answer you anything after verifying your account?

Pokerstars

I’ve had issues where I get disconnected and lose my money and not even play the table I registered for. They helped once and refunded me. It happened again 1 week later and they seem that they refunded me before so they didn’t refund me this time. I sent all log files and they came up with the reason that the server that sends out packets to there server were corrupt. Internet providers change there ip addresses so when there is an issue it switches your connection which drops you off PokerStars. poker stars stated that you should contact your provider for a dynamic ip address which when contacted said no can do. PokerStars says in their policy that they are not responsible for anything due to disconnection. I run a ping in the background but I still lose it once in a while.
Bottom line if everyone has a static ip and when there is corrupt file packets you will lose connection and you will lose your place on the table unless you are fast enough to get logged back on.
Good luck
