Many many years ago when I played on pokerstars, there were obviously no "throwables". When I came back to PS after being gone for that long period I was shocked to see this. It seemed childish to me.

My question is do you use throwables? Do you think it effects peoples games? Do you have them disabled altogether?

Me myself, shortly after returning to PS I disabled my throwables. I just really couldn't understand the point of it.

I think they're funny (if not used excessively) and a cartoonish, non-intimidating way to display your emotions towards a specific player.
I disabled them for a short while until I noticed I was missing 'something'.

I find the throwables a good alternative to calling the other players by all kinds of bad names.
Many years ago when making it to final table of 9,000 players Freeroll; I was called all kinds of bad names as I made it to first place. That was the way it was in those days.

I still do get angry sometimes and try not to lash out. I try and use my throwables instead.

I disabled throwables on desktop client, but rarely use em on mobile client, because some of animations are fun and helps with a stress.

I just started using PokerStars again since CC went back to US regulated sites for the freerolls. The first time I saw something come flying at me I about jumped out of my chair.

Needless to say they were quickly disabled. :D

It's like most gimmicks, amusing for the first few minutes but the novelty wears off quickly.

What I don't like is that you can't throw tissues to yourself when you got destroyed on the river. It's funny feature if not used too much.

Yeah I remember back then (with some nostalgia) when there were no throwables, no casino, no knockouts, no ridiculous late registration periods....
Some people find those throwables "fun". I don't find them that harmful to the game, but somewhat distracting nevertheless. They are disabled on my computer as is Aurora altogether.

I don't use them and at least for me it does not affect my game. I didn't know you could disable them, but they really don't bother me at all.

I don't like it, most of the players use them way too much,
it should have a limit to use in a single tournament.

Everything in life, if you don't have a balance you'll get hurt.

They are a sign of immaturity.

Well said. I agree..... Have a limit of one throwable per 20 minutes of play or something like that. They were just used SO much by some people that I just disabled them, but if limited I would totally turn them back on.

I don't usually use them but they don't bother me, the times I use it is because my nephew forces me to use it when he sees me playing:D:p, I think it's fun if you're at one or two tables but when you play at several tables it really goes unnoticed:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

Its a modern online poker..[emoji848][emoji854] I confess that I found it strange at first time, but other houses also adopted the trowables too.. I ended up getting used to it

I don't like that too, but i use sometimes, specially when that all in all hands guy gets crushed. I'm a hypocrite in that matter.

To me they kinda took the 888 poker thing and improved on it, just seems like a way to communicate dislike or a well played hand. The later rarely lol usually a way to throw shade at your opponent. I will hammer a guy on tilt and just keep giving it to him why not

888 Poker had much better throwables, flying eggs, tomatoes, trophies.. it was blended together with the table really well.

Stars throwables are distracting too much, and of course they bet on "collectors", so people will play to unlock more of them.

As you complete various tasks, you will unlock more and more animations. For example,to get the "flying cards "animations, you need to get 52 different cards during the game. You will need to play 50 hands of any real money cash game to get the alarm clock animation.

I like a few throwables, but I like the standard horseshoe item best. I like to throw it sometimes when I win a big hand against my opponent. :)
