Yesterday was not my first time when I FINALLY managed to be in a good mood and found some time and money to play my favorite poker. I was waiting whole week for the 5.50$ MicroMillions event and I was super frustrated when it turned out that there were some technical issues, and so we played about 4-5 hands in one hour (the most interesting thing is that the whole tournament is paused, but the blinds are raising every 10 minutes) and finally they announced that the tournament is cancelled. My god, it is not first time, seriously, they need to do something about this, I've had the same situation before and it was very unfortunate as well. At least we got our buy-in money back. What is your opinion about this?

I play almost daily at pokerstars and yesterday was the first technical problem I have experienced in months. I wish my tournament was cancelled after 3 major delays and restarts as I never got anything going.

That wasn't the first, but honestly I think that collapses are PS's smallest mistakes, very rare. And they always find a way to not to steal your money, so its just something to get over, and found yourself a new event to play.

That would mean that I am super unlucky, because it is second time IN A ROW when I try to play a normal tournament.

I play pokerstars at least 5 times a week and have never had this kind of problem and I think this is very rare to happen. In addition, technical problems happen and they return the money that is the most important.

Server crashes are unfortunate, but they are also rare, and they happen on all poker sites. I have played more than half a million hands on PokerStars, and generally the software is very stable. Also while I understand the attraction of events like the MicroMillions, PokerStars and other sites have 5,5$ tournaments every day. So maybe its not really needed to wait a whole week in excitement for this particular one or be devastated, when it has to be cancelled. At the end of the day its just another 5,5$ tournament :)

Technical reasons are everywhere and no one is insured. I think they will repeat this tournament.

I also encountered this problem a couple of days ago. PokerStars has organized an exclusive tournament for news readers with a solid $ 5,000 prize pool. The blinds went up and didn't stop, but the players just sat at the table playing 1-2 hands in half an hour. Apparently the mistake happened at many tournaments.

Only play BOL and BCP right now....

I have not had that experience where they "shutdown" a touney. That would be TERRIBLE. What a WASTE of time, and I would be looking for a new site. Never seen that happen yet on BOL or BCP.

Apparently the mistake happened at many tournaments.

When there is a server problem, it obviously effect all tournaments and also cash tables. I think, I have experienced it a few times playing cash, and then of course people just leave and come back to play another time. With tournaments its more annoying, since they have to be cancelled, but at least people get a refund, and it just is, what it is :)

I hope it was a casual situation. for my part, I have played many hands and luckily I did not have server downtime.

This is very unfortunate, but on this site such situations are very rare. No one is insured against technical problems and there are no sites that do not have similar problems. Do not be sad.

Well ... I play daily at pokerstar ... and they rarely have technical problems that paralyze the tournaments ... but last Saturday it happened to me .... I was playing micro limits and the problems started ... it's very difficult to play like that .... the truth is even stressful ... I lost concentration and patience ... to the point that I was eliminated soon ...!

Exactly mate. All poker rooms have the same problem and really it very rare in poker stars. PS are always compensate even when you have a connection failure. And you are right, you have to be polite and patient. Respect always helps.

So now we know who is to blame, the site has been fine for the longest time but the tourneys you played ends up having issues......hmmmmm time to call the Tin Foil Hat Brigade
I think we found the culprit:p

Well, i made 7 cents by that cancelled tournament 8) super happy.

So it looks like PS wont even have some christmas event. Was really a lil excited about a calendar with some tasks, maybe some deposit bonusses or sth.
But PS just keeps playing the "they will keep playing here anyway" card. Hm.

You might not have lost you money, but you lost your time and mood. PokerStars can pretend it isn't their problem, beyond refunding you, but they are missing a trick here. Piss off the customer and they walk. It is bad business.

But Poker Stars has suffered a number of times, and their upgrades are getting buggy. I can no longer log into my mobile account as it constantly asks if I want to transfer. But I do not have any active sessions so there should be nothing to transfer. Click Yes...and nothing happens.

I've had several occasions in the past month where the whole table freezes and the network connection box comes up. And I know it is stars, because I had a VoIP chat going on with another person on Stars at the same time. He was knocked off PS too.

The mobile App, before it stopped working altogether also was "upgraded" and lost significant functionality. The loss of the search functionality really sucks. I often want to search for a poker buddy and join a game they're in. This was axed from the mobile game. Stupid decision.

Companies must not forget that whilst they're fleecing the customer, the customer must remain happy about it. I'm just about ready to jump ship.

Cheers,
ObbleeXY

this is not so common, but we don’t have much to do, I don’t think we should spend energy on what we can’t control, gl at the tables.:eek::eek:
