Hi guys!

During normal session the window suddenly appeared with this message -> I wrore email to support with some kind of explanation.

Anyone was in similar situation?

I had a similar situation. About a year ago, my account was frozen. I was suspected of creating multi-accounts. But I never broke the rules, and after an investigation that lasted three weeks, my account was unblocked. I hope after the investigation, your account will also be unlocked.

Thanks for answer! But you were just waiting for their next steps? I wrote to them, but I know the support team has a huge delays...
What did you do? Three weeks is a lot of time!

What did you do? Three weeks is a lot of time!
Just be patient. I had the same situation last year too they blocked my account just after deposit. Asked for paper works (ID and registered address). I do not remember exactly how long I had been waiting for unlock but around 3-4 weeks for sure. One advice do no try to write them 3-4 mails because with each mail they just delay you and put at the end of turn. Just be patient and calm, they will sort it out after your documents check. Plus they have support team in twitter too for your information in case if you needed.

I have been on pokerstars for almost 20 years and this I know to be true, they don’t suspend an account for no reason. Think about what activity you may have done that would raise suspicion by them.

Have you been playing in different locations other than at home?
Have you played on someone’s IP address who also plays on Stars?
Have you made or received any P2P transfers of funds on Stars?
And if so to whom because they may be the guilty party and you are suspicious by association.

It all could be completely innocent but they don’t do this for shiggles.

Actually I started to withdraw my money almost everyday, but it is not against the rules. And I have to answer NO for every your question :p It's too pity that maybe I have to wait almost a month to solve this situation..

Actually I started to withdraw my money almost everyday, but it is not against the rules. And I have to answer NO for every your question :p It's too pity that maybe I have to wait almost a month to solve this situation..
I send all my papers a few years ago too but from last year PS started random check. They are going to check all players soon or later anyway but after this you will never be in trouble with it anymore.

That could perhaps be the culprit, since it could raise suspicion of money laundering. It might not be against the rules, but its certainly not a recommended practice either, since if nothing else you place a lot of work load on the staff executing these withdrawal requests. Depending on your destination and withdrawal method, you might also lose money on fees and/or currency exchange.

Unfortunately, nothing but to be patient will not work! The Stars have the slowest support service, but in the end there will be an answer!

It took them a whole month to handle, that I had moved to another country, and in the meantime I simply had to play somewhere else. But as you say, in the end it was resolved :)

Hello my friend, I do not know why your account is blocked, but I will share my recent experience.
About a month ago, I asked to check my account, because it had been sitting for a few years because I had quit playing. The verification was quite time consuming, but they always responded to my emails explaining that there were a lot of people under review. I found it time consuming compared to other poker sites that I play, in 24 hours or less these other sites did the checking.
Try to contact through support on twitter, they probably put your account as a priority, just as they did with mine. I hope I helped.

One of the headaches that could have caused this is that many sites check to see how many people are playing in a hyper local area. This is a massive headache when people are in the same hotel and do not know of others playing. This is a nightmare in many ways to people coming in from other states to play big tournaments. This could have happened if one of your neighbors has started playing recently.

Were you close to completing a promotion? I got gyped on a promotion with similar block by Pokerstars right before I completed a 200$ promo. Never happened to me before but all of a sudden I'm about to complete a promotion and I get magically locked out of my account.

they asked me about one player. I don't recognize that player at all. we will see what happened.

Thats good to hear. Maybe another player thought, you were colluding with this guy, and rapported both of you. PokerStars then investigated it but found no evidence of collusion, and therefore your account was unlocked again.

Have the same problem currently. Got restricted, then frozen, then went through the verification process, got an e-mail that my account is once again fully functional but I still get the temporarily restricted message whenever I try to join any game. :confused:

How long did it take for your account to be fully reopened?

I am facing a similar situation right now. I have been a long time customer of PokerStars. In March after multiple transfers made by a friend of mine to my account, I got temporarily restricted and so I have been waiting for the investigation to finish for 9+ months as of right now. All this time I kept receiving standard replies saying that my "review is ongoing, due to complexity of my case, sometimes it may take longer, your message was forwarded to the responsible department, please be patient, etc". Only on Nov 30 I received a message from the Key Account Reviews team asking me to send the copies of my bank cards used for deposit, selfie with ID card, proof of address, and tax declaration, even though I have verified my account several times before. So I provided all the requested documents promptly, and now waiting again for the review to finish.

9 months!? I’m in the same situation but only 2 months in… this is terrible. 20k locked up.
