Why there, in a folder, two similar note files with exact same text in them?

notes.nickname.xml
notes.nickname.xml.bak

Sometimes I want to write notes after, and because there are two files I have to keep changes in both.

I don't know, but maybe .bak is backup

It is a backup copy to enable restoration in case of loss of original data, or which may involve accidental deletion or data corruption.

I guess then I will apply changes only to notes.nickname.xml and after restarting the room, these changes could be copied to .bak automatically. Need to try that and look what will happen.

Oh well, that didn't work out, have to copy changes to both files
