PS was down over the weekend for about 3 days. Yesterday (Monday) it was finally back up. Apparently there was some unscheduled maintenance performed.

I have been having an issue for a while logging in from my computer- I live in a rural area and there are at the moment no wifi signals near me. I have been playing on my mobile which uses your phone's geolocation software to determine where you are for the past year.

I am no longer able to play using my phone either. When try to enter a tournament I immediately receive the message that PS cannot verify my location. It used to try for about 1 minute before it did that and if I had a poor signal I could move to a better signal.
I have also tried at work at which there are plenty of wifi signals around, and I even tried logging in with wifi and playing with the same result.

I contacted support and they told me to use wifi and not cellular data. I told them that I tried that too and the same thing happend- I was told to try logging into wifi somewhere else.

This happened immediately after they made some repairs/changes to their servers when the site was down. I can't think of anything else to try. I can try contacting support tomorrow and maybe I will get someone else who is more willing to troubleshoot my problem. The only other place I can play is America's Cardroom. Unfortunately it often takes an hour or more to fill up a table to play a sit and go. Off peak hours you cannot play because there are too few players.

I'm dealing with the same issue

While attempting to use my free bets offer for the superbowl and some freeplay I've earned through the reward boxes for points I receive the error that my location cannot be verified. I've tried to use my PC, my laptop, my mobile, and my tablet and all come up with the same error. I do not use a proxy or VPN and my geolocation is pinging my devices at my home in southern PA on every other App that uses my device location. I've tried logging in from my mobile data, from my wifi through Breezeline, and through a neighbors wifi and still got the same result every time.

pokerstars supports solution was uninstall and reinstall the app which I have done at least 6 times now. I even went as far as booting the app in safemode so that the only processes running were my wifi switch and the PokerStars app yet still couldn't verify my location! I only ever ran into this 1 other time in the 3-4 years I've been playing on PokerStars and it was on a tablet that I do have a VPN running for my cryptocurrency trading. Once I logged out on that device and back in on my mobile my account was fine and everything was accessible.

I recently cashed out around $1,300 that I won using $10 freeplay that I won from the daily rewards boxes. Ever since I withdrew those winnings I've been having issues with my account almost every time I logged in. I am compiling a list of other players that are unable to play on PokerStars due to location verification problems and will be looking to possibly initiate a class action suit if there are enough members to constitute one. I have taken screenshots of the bets I have attempted to place on the superbowl with both my free bet and my own money and I have informed PokerStars that if my bets do not win to take my bets from my account but I am expecting to be paid for the bets that they were not allowing me to make through their app which is run by incompetent developers and administrators.

I have also taken screen shot of my devices geolocation ping at the moment I attempted to place my bets to prove that my device was sending the appropriate location information to their server. I have screen shots of the applications and processes running on my device that clearly shows that there is no ise of a proxy or VPN as my IP address is traceable back to my home internet connection.

Please post here if you are having this issue so that we might take legal action if need be!

It's due to state and local gambling laws. Not all states or municipalities allow gambling therefor making it illegal to use these Apps in their jurisdictions.

Are you able to log in yet??

If you uninstall PS, you may want to move the folder before deleting the folder out, if you have notes on other players, that you want to keep. A quick google search will tell you how to find the folder.

It could be that your ISP or some other sever is also having a problem, and that's why you can't get on PS. I had this same problem, with PS.com a year or 2 ago, I could not log into my account.

I'm guessing, since no new posts are posted, you both got back onto stars???
