Is there a third party entity that can verify the shuffle or RNG algorithm of pokerstars? I don't want to be THAT guy that says the site is rigged, and I have pretty much laughed in the past when I heard people saying this.
I consider myself a solid player and a grinder of sit and goes, and looking at my tournament history for the past several months my winnings have leveled off. Logic dictates that the site has little to gain by "rigging" or changing the algorithm or statistical outcomes of hands; or whatever you want to call it. It would also be risking a lot. I wonder if it is possible to manipulate the statistical outcome by a few percentage points in favor of the lesser player to keep him from totally busting his bankroll and keep him on the site. I realize how silly this sounds.
I just amazes me how often I outplay the villain and get my chips all in on the turn with the villain having as little as 2-4 outs and I can bust out 3-4x in a row (god forbid my hand holds up 3-4 x in a row). I have wanted to be able to collect some hand histories or all of my all-in scenarios (pre and post flop) and screen shots, but I can only play on my phone (not on desktop) and this has proven difficult. I also lack the skill to truly sort out the data.
Of course I'm not saying that I have never "sucked out" on another player, but I am rarely the person who gets all his chips in with only a few outs, unless I thought my play had a high probablility of the other player folding.
I don't want to rant, I was just wondering if the RNG has been analyzed and vetted. I think it would be pretty neat to have a poker site that uses a live deal with each player having a webcam image of the action, instead of software only. They would have to pay the dealers and it seems this setup would be much less profitable, but I would give it a try.
