After 10 years of playing on pokerstars, including 3.5 years on PokerStars Casino (where I lost more than $250,000) my account was blocked on March 18, 2020.

Before this date, my ex-manager Mila Atanase threatened me to stop posting here. I refused because I believe that sharing information with people is not a crime.

Now, almost a week passed since the blocking, but I didn't receive any official mails from Pokerstars where the reason would be clearly stated. Only on March 20, Mila herself wrote by WhatsApp that my account was blocked due to "business discussion" and blacklisted me (lol wat?).

So, in couple days, I turned from VIP player into nothing :D

Hope that Pokerstars representatives have the courage to give detailed explanation of this situation. Interesting, how long will you do business if you ban old loyal customers so easily?

PS. Players think twice before continuing to play on PS and don't keep large amounts of money on your accounts there.

Sounds unconvincing without proof. You make such a great post and didnt think about this?
Maybe they just stopped your growing gambling addiction, and all you have to do is say 'Thanks'!

Well, pokerstars have been freezing accounts for no reason lately, I've seen him on several poker news sites, and he was freezing people of your style who took all the money. So I can come to believe you, however I don't know why ps is doing it.

Main link here

You can evaluate how criminal this post is.

I have correspondence with my manager and her threats in Russian and screen of my blocked account (can't post links here). What kind of proofs you want to see?

Also, in 2020, I played very little. They didn't stop me, when I used to play big, so I guess - they don't care.

It sounds similar to, what PokerStars did, when they killed off the Supernova elite rakeback deal back in 2017. This was a rakeback, which players received, if they paid a certain amount of rake during a calendar year. But rather than announcing, that starting next year this would no longer be the case, they killed it off in the middle of a year, where some people had already been putting in extra volume on Stars trying to reach the status.

I am not going to defend this way of doing business, because I do in fact think, it is totally unfair. But at the same time I am not going to stop playing on PokerStars, because you can find something wrong with basically all the sites, and it does not affect the results, I can expect to achieve on PokerStars in the future. Right now the cash games are good, and it would be silly for me to not take advantage of that, just because I am angry, that some casino players or high volume poker players did not get, what they were promised, in the past.

Of course It's up to you: play or not. But do not hold a large amount of cash on Pokerstars. Money can be blocked and confiscated at any time for no particular reason.

Sounds pretty unfamiliar situation to me. Weird to hear this happening for some though... Curious.. so how do you really get your balance reimbursed once they decide to block an account?

Write them nice lovely mail, say you sorry, stop posting about them on forums and MAYBE they give you another chance - if you still want to play there or you done with them... do you have any money on PS account?

Good luck! :)

I don't understand. Sorry for what?
They should apologize, not me.
I have not done anything criminal. Of course, if they are interested in me, as a regular customer. If not, this is a competitive world.

I think, its wise in general to not have significant money deposited at any poker site. They are after all not banks, which in many countries is covered by a depositors insurance. For micro players like myself its fine to let the balance be our bankroll. But if you are playing like 215$ tournaments, then I would certainly not keep 200 buyins on a poker site, even that was my bankroll. Live players also dont bring their entire bankroll, every time they go to a casino.

With all that being said, unless you broke the TOS, its not fair to confiscate your money, so you should follow up on this. Not wanting you as a customer is up to them, and maybe even understandible after, what you posted on 2+2. But that does not automatically mean, they are entitled to confiscate your money. I have had poker accounts closed on two occations for various reasons, and in both cases my deposit was refunded.

I don't understand why anyone would ever play an online casino game period.
You know you're going to lose (in the longrun) but you play anyways..... sigh

The freedom of one person ends where the freedom of another begins. Perhaps you had to find out your relationship with the site before blocking, then you could adjust your statements. For my little activity, CardChats expelled me from the freeroll club, but at least I know the reason and try to eliminate it. Good luck!

We dont need proofs that your account if frozen, we need confirmations of your words. Confirmations that exactly your post is a reason for block your acc.
And believe me, they care about everything.

If you lost in their 250k casino, then it seems that you should be a favorite and desired player for them. It is strange that they did so.

As I wrote earlier, Pokerstars still have not sent any official notifications to me by e-mail. All I have is threat from my ex vip manager, that if I keep posting on 2+2 forum they raise question about closing of my account (17 March). And her message 2 days after blocking (20 March) that the reason for blocking is "business discussion". All messages are written in Russian and by WhatsApp. If you now Russian I can show it to you in real time. Just give me your contacts.
