Why are their more players on poker stars vs other clients/sites that allow US players?

I would suspect that there are more poker players in the 48 US states (minus Washington) compared to the two states that are allowed to play on Poker Stars (and Delaware).

Is it that Poker Stars is a client for the world AND NV/NJ? So are other sites that allow US players.

Thanks for teaching me

I'll answer what I think you might be asking?
pokerstars caters to the most of the world, of course they have the most players.
Our shitty governement keeps us from playing at poker sites because they consider it gambling and won't set about regulating it for all US player, all the while passing sports betting laws right and left because it will benefit them. The fact that they say sports betting is more skilled than playing poker galls me to no end. Rant over

I am not quite sure, what you are asking about here? As I understand it, players from the one or two states in the US, which has legalized and regulated poker, are required to play on their own fenced in sites. They can not play against people from the rest of the world. So for instance PokerStars (NJ) only saw an average of 100 cash game players online during the last 7 days according to this source:

https://www.pokerscout.com/
'
By contrast players from a lot of countries (but far from all), can play on pokerstars.com, and therefore this site saw 7.000 cash game players online as an average during the last 7 days.

As for people from the remaining 50 US states, there are offshore sites, who still accept their business. And why more people dont use this opportunity, I dont know. But I guess, its only natural, that when its offshore and unregulated, a lot of people tend to shy away.

So those relatively few US players, who venture into unregulated sites like ACR, Bovada etc, are not enough to offset players from the rest of the world, who are making PokerStars.com the largest site by far.
