So any PA/NJ players who want's to play in home games, that may have a problem, I'm posting a fix to this.

Note: You'll need to contact PS and have your state, in your address changed, if the first part done not work.

Part of an email, from PS

If your account's address lists you as residing within either Pennsylvania or New Jersey, you will automatically be prompted to download and complete a 'Quick Account Creation', otherwise known as a "migration", to our full-featured, real money platforms.

However, we can understand why some players would rather remain on our .NET software.
If you wish to continue on our "play-money-only" .NET software with the current Stars ID, you will need to install the software linked below instead and edit any address details that would locate you in one of our real money licenses.

"Play-Money-Only" / '.NET' Software Direct Download Links:
Android https://we.tl/t-cjGWINNagl
Windows https://we.tl/t-VtsEDZbMgR
Mac https://we.tl/t-zP3qmHNpsK
If you are still being prompted to migrate your account with this software, you will need to contact us to manually remove your home state information or create a new account on our .NET license.

In the latter situation, please contact us after you have created your new account, and we will be happy to transfer any play money chips you purchased to your new account.

Thanks for this info. This raises further questions though. I assume that any rewards won from poker leagues / teams would then need to be withdrawn from the .NET software and transferred to the .COM software for use in real money games. Seems like a lot of hassle to maintain two versions of the software to be able to participate in CC leagues but I'll set a reminder to check this out and see how bad it is for next season.

Thank you for this. One question. The provided link for the Windows download says the file has been deleted. Do you (or anyone) know where I could find the .net software? I will try and contact PS but figured I'd ask here as well.

Go to https://www.hidemyass-freeproxy.com/ and type in http://www.pokerstars.net

You need to, do it that way, or PS.net will take you to the PS/PA or NJ site.

Great thanks. PS actually emailed me the file after I requested it.

Just making sure I'm getting this right. Using the .net platform would allow me to access the cardschat club games, but I'm still SOL in terms of the public freeroll tournaments, correct?

I ask because I created a new account for the .net software and when logged in can only see the play money tournaments, but I do see where I can join a club, which I assume would give me access to the freeroll club events (once I earn that privilege).

PA/NJ players are fully locked out of the .com client, as far as I know. PA/NJ players, can only play for play money on both the .net and .com client.. And on starsPA you can only play PA players.

Yes!

Off on the right side is home games.

Keep an eye in this thread for events, that take place in home games.

Pokerstars - NJ Play Money Home Games

Hi There - have a friend in NJ who I'm trying to get into our Play Money Home Game - but I CAN NOT for the life of me figure out how to give him instruction to do so. I've searched high and low. This thread seems to be in line with what I'm looking for - and I was hoping that the "Play-Money-Only" / '.NET' Software Direct Download Links would work - but they appear to be expired. PLEASE HELP!!!
