There used to be some sites that had live table simulations, but I haven't seen any of those in a while.

I only play PokerStars, it's been very good for me.
The table changes for me are very functional, the tournaments have served me very well.
Overall I really like to play online

I see no difference in playing poker.
It's just that you can't see their facial expressions or gestures, so it's hard to predict.

Poker on line is good ?

For me personally, the best poker room is PokerStars. Here you can learn how to play poker with all possible opponents.

Its fairly obvious, that nothing online can be similar to sitting in your local casino and chat with the other players while ordring drinks from a pretty cocktail waitress. On the positive side in online poker you dont need to spend time and money on transport, its open 24 hours a day, the minimum stakes are way lower, you can play in your underwear, you can mute the chat, if other people are acting like idiots, and its an awfull lot cheaper to buy drinks in your local grocery store. Online poker is just a different experience for better and worse ;)

Yes, those with webcams. I saw it somewhere on youtube, but I forgot the name.
There was 888 I don't know if there is more !! More can be done with the webcan, but the software is the same!

For me, no website can be compared to the live emotions at the table. There is no such atmosphere anywhere as in live poker.so my verdict is the same-there is no such site. And the best for me among the online was and will be Pokerstars!

Which online poker site looks more like live poker to you?:)

The original sites that looked like live poker were PKR

888 had webcams for a while on some tables but I don't think it really took off

GG has the fun feature of being able to send a snap video, but it's not quite the same.

I know that Pokerstars was testing some VR stuff for the 3D poker experience... but I dunno, I feel like if people want to play live poker... you gotta go to the casino or a home game and play... the virtual experience just isn't the same as it's missing a lot of the live elements.

That being said... homegames are a pretty fun way to get a bit of that live experience going by having a zoom call going on the side or having a chat room going.

That's one of the perks of livestreaming poker is that we get that extra engagement and a place to chat/communicate that works much better than the in-client chat boxes.

hope that helps!

FWIW in terms of sites where the 'play' is most like live poker (i.e. easier)

I would say casino based sites like ignition, betonline, and global poker give that experience

But... you have to put up with some pretty janky software to get those softer games. For some players that's worth it, but for many it's not :D

PKR used to be, and if I'm honest was ahead of its time, was my favoured site once.

I loved the 3d and getting points to unlock chip tricks, and taunting people with laughs etc, I used to love slowing down donks by doing silly stuff like -looks at cards- *laughs out loud* at their bet, re-raise and then *laugh* again.

it was a very good site that you could use emotes etc to get inside peoples heads and of course people could read it as strong or weak and I could be strong or weak, but mainly I was just playing my normal game and throwing them in there. doing that was what made online poker fun for me, throwing stuff in 2d aint fun, you have no character that does a laughing emote. PKR should return or another site should buy the software, because it was and still is the best, you couldn;t play more then 4 tables in 3d it would go to 2d, but you could still do the things and other people would see it and you'd still hear it. and see it pop= in the chat.

I recently heard that there was a new room opening online where it was going to use just webcams for all games.
I cant remember the name. But I wish them luck!

Yes I was a member of PKR and thought I had lost over £150 from my bankroll when they went Bust, Luckily Pokerstars bought the player Data Base and refunded all players their money back if they registered with them, I was already on Pokerstars member so got it back through them.
PKR was a massive download and took hours for my computer to download it, but it always crashed before it would load, so I was forced to ask for a copy of their software to download from "Disc" But it was way ahead of it's rivals at the time and became my favorite site while it ran.
They had a 10 Cent Giveaway Game, every hour with a top prize of 6 Cents, They were an absolute All-in Fest, with most players shoving all-in first hand, because they only paid 1st and 2nd places so all you had to do in some games was fold 1st hand and you could make 2nd place for doing nothing, you were allowed to play them until you won $2 Dollars, then you had to use that to buy into other games.
I made over £150 from the Giveaway games and then progressing to the buy-in games, they were really soft players and easy games. I only stopped because they went into Liquidation.

When the fun Stops STOP!
