Of all the sites I'm able to play on - I've only been kind of skeptical of Ignition.
Simply because - the anonymity feature "could" allow some funny business to occur, namely collusion.
I'll preface by stating up front - I do not believe any poker site is "rigged" or participates in any type of shady manipulating of play on the felt.
But - since I only play two events at Ignition, I have been able to "monitor" these events pretty closely.
One is a tourney which - runs normal, as expected.
The other event is a 9man STT event. Estimating I've played this one STT about 100 times.
Here is the odd part - the STT has only EVER run TWICE without me registering for the event first.
One time - the event had one person registered for the event prior to me registering. But once I register - HOLY CRAP - you should see how fast the rest of the seats fill up.
I have sat in the lobby - awaiting my other tourney to begin - for hours upon hours - on days upon days - just watching that one STT - of course while playing several tables on other sites, but I just sit and watch and waiting for anyone - other than me to register for the darn thing - and nobody ever does. Once I register - the event kicks off in less than 3 minutes.
I'm sure the event ran prior to me joining Ignition. But since I've been playing - this thing sits totally idle until I register.
Isn't that odd??
It really makes me skeptical about that event.
The only thing that makes me feel a little less preyed upon is - I run roughly 55-65% ITM. So if there was a collusion ring playing this event whenever I register - they truly SUCK at it. LOL
Wadda ya'll think about that?
Do you think this is something I should consider reporting to Ignition? Just as a heads up - for them to look into?
