Hi all!
I am interested in starting a discussion among players who are (or have been) on pokerstars School AND were not permitted to participate in the Scratch and Match promotion. ie. "You are not eligible" message displays.
When players post on the School Forum about this, they are usually directed by a moderator to email support to see why they are inelligible.
Now, there can be several reasons why an account may be ineligible, but the case I am interested in is the case where you may have had a full tilt poker account as well as a Stars account.
When Stars took over Full Tilt (I want to guess about 2010/11 or somewhere in there - give or take a couple years) they had a promotion where if you created a Full Tilt account, you got $5 free in your Full Tilt account, or something like that (it's been a while, I don't remember the EXACT details! LOL) Part of this process involved having you "pair" your Stars and your Full Tilt account names so that you would play under the same screen id on BOTH sites.
It looked like a win-win deal, so I jumped in! Jump forward a couple of years and Stars decides to shutdown Full Tilt. They took everyone's balances on Full Tilt and merged any funds into your Stars cashier amount.
So far so good...................BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......................................
In the process of doing all this, a "flag" was set on all Stars accounts that had a Full Tilt account being moved over. I'm not sure EXACTLY what the flag was meant to do (prevent duplicate accounts is my best guess) but there it was.
Well, it turns out that this "flag" that was set is something that gets looked at when you want to play Scratch and Match. And guess what, you are judged to be inelligible for Scrtach and Match as a result!
Has anyone here experienced somethng like this?
If so I'd love to talk with you! More to come later!...................
Thanks so much for your input!
