Why doesn't Bovada show the names of players. How can you track players? Stopped playing because of that.

They have done this for a long time, just another reason, one of many, not to play there

It really is ridiculous. It is a vital part of poker knowing who you are playing against.

Do they even show the cards? or is everyone playing anonymously and blindly? =)

It's an anonymous site; you can't track players or be tracked yourself. I don't mind it.

You can still use drivehud as a hud but you won't know who you're playing against.

Which is exactly one of the reasons I pretty much only play exclusively there. You can use ignition Card Catcher program to feed the hands into Hold'Em Manager 2 to track your own stats/profits/play as well as get HUD stats for a player as long as they're seated at the table.

For me it's great because I can't stand how most sites let people track your tendencies over your entire playing history with the other player; I prefer to come and go and play the hand and the current player I'm up against because for them if they have my stats over our history playing together they can exploit my tendencies, but even more importantly: I think many players fall into HUD traps where they rely so much on the HUD "well this guy's fold to 3 bet percentage is like 80% so I should often 3 bet him here" is foolish thinking many times as players changes and evolve and those stats you have on their username over thousands of hands together evolves and changes...so you might play them for weeks, not see them for months, then play again based on now out of date stats.

Long story short: I love the anonymous play coupled with HUD use that only lasts as long as you're at the table...no preconceived notions about a player sitting down, no outdated stats to cloud our play against them, and no exploiting of my tendencies over the long term. And the site is super soft.

I think all sites should move to that format.
