Listen to music???

Im wondering if anyone listens to music while they play poker and what kind of music.

I listen to a lot of music while i play and think it helps.

I listen to a lot of hip hop when playing poker. I find my reads atleast in Omaha are at their best when I listen to Jay-z and Linkin' Park's collision course. I have no idea why it is so.

I do, if only because it helps pass the time in between hands and keeps me from getting bored. However if I reach a critical decision I will shut it off to concentrate.

As for what type of music, I'll usually just set my playlist to shuffle. I stay away from extremes thought because occassionally it might affect my play. I don't feel like playing tight when I'm listening to Metallica for instance

must is essential to me, without it i cannot sustain 100% concentration for a long period of time ( ie 6 hours plus)
my ipod is very diverse but i end up listening to a songs by coldplay and rage against the machine the most

Radiohead-the bends and pablo honey

some coldplay bit of blues and acoustic mostly while i play poker though

I listen to music most hours of the day and listen to everything bandwise that isnt that heavy death metal trash. Mostly rock/alt rock/ punk/nu rave/ screamo/ soft rock/ other bands i dont know genre of such as red jumpsuit apparatus and motion city soundtrack etc etc

I never listen to music when I am at the casino. I want as much information as possible.

As for when I am online, I may listen to music but I also like to download local morning station podcasts and listen to them. Because of my work schedule, I can't listen to them when they are originally broadcast.

I have a particular playlist that I only listen to while playing. It helps my game a lot, I find if I'm not listening I tend to lose concentration.
