Was anyone aware of tiny asterics below the monthly poker challange saying 'long-term winning poker players likely to receive a 10% Monthly Poker Challenge instead of the maximum 40% '? Long term according to them is 3 months from what I see. My challenge widow is now practically empty, only this meaningless 20 dollars for 1000 points, yes 1000 points. 4 times worse then it should be. Is this common among all the poker rooms? Do you think it is a discriminating action saparting players?

Of course rakeback is a nice way of making additional profit but if you're a winning player, you don't have to rely on it to be profitable, no?

10% is still better than nothing. 🤪

As for the other rooms:
  • I know that 888 doesn't offer any proper rakeback
  • BOL gives a weekly challenge for rakeback. I've seen 25-40% but you have to play a lot to reach it. Idk if it changes once your consistently profitable.
  • GG has their own promotion. I've heard it's better than PS but I don't play a lot there.

Now just need to go through the arduous task of establishing why oh why Stars might be preferential (with these rewards and the suchlike) towards losing over winning players…

Going to need a large blackboard and a big box of chalk for this!

I was about to post a thread saying the same thing. My monthly chest has been reduced too, it was 40% and now 10%. So I need to grind 500 points to get $10 instead of $40. Like you say, it barely seems worth the bother.

I am not sure this is great strategy from pokerstars as I play almost exclusively there partly to complete the rakeback challenge and now I might spread my play a bit more.

Obviously the solution is to stop being a winning player and become a rakeback grinder :ROFLMAO:

Pokerstars promotions is just bad.
I agree, I very rarely participate in pokerstars promotions. there any shares are most often in the negative for themselves😒

I had positive experience with that .. I always played cashgames to boost the bar cause with tourneys alone it takes forever . Especially If you only play MTT with micro to lowstakes buy ins.
Now I can't play them ever again cause PS scratched that feature for Austrians completely

But that's exactly what they want.

Reduce amount of winning players and concentrate on those who deposit each month. 😜
Maybe it is. But winning players still pay rake and make money for pokerstars

Yes but I read someone saying those are the ones cashing out more frequently, so pulling out money out of the ecosystem. And to me that makes sense.

But I also do not like this business practice

There is lots of "injustice" in this world including promotions and rewards from poker sites not being available in all markets or to all customers. You are not going to change this by ranting about it in a forum. So just choose the best offer, which is actually available to you within online poker, a pair of new jeans or whatever ;)

And is that really such an unreasonable thing? If we compare with a traditional rake-back system like the one, PS had it the past, and the one ACR has today, then it gives the highest percentage of rakeback to mid and high stakes grinders, who are often full time professional players. Who, as you say, take a lot of money out of the "ecosystem" in the long run.

What PS does instead is to pay out the highest percentage of rakeback to net depositing players, who are the ones, who keep the whole wheel turning. Of course Pokerstars rakeback system suck, if you are a winning player, but as someone else say, 10% rakeback is still better than the 0% rakeback we get in Germany or sweden due to local regulations. And if someone is not satisfied, they are free to look for a better deal elsewhere ;)

Ok then, is here anyone experieced with Natural8 cashback system? How does it compare with PS and do winning players eventually get worse cash-back offers too?
