Hi all.

I've been looking at the various sites to play online and it seems all the ones I've looked at so far say you can't play if you're from Maryland. Now I've seen people playing online at the casino (while they are playing live poker!) but I suppose they could be from an adjoining state.

How do they determine residence? Is it where you live or where you're playing from? I mean I could always use a friend's address in Virginia to sign up, my bank is a multistate bank so it has branches in Virginia.

I guess I just don't want to win and then have them not pay me.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I only have experience with pokerstars, but I imagine other sites are similar. You give them an address when you sign up.

PLAYING
They can tell where you are playing from by looking at your IP address (if they care - as PS does). If they don't care, or if you use a VPN, you can play.

CASH OUT
You have to verify your identity in order to cash out. If you have been lying to the site, your cash out will be denied, and you will probably have your account frozen.
