I hate Pokerhost

Just when I thought i couldnt hate Pokerhost any more (horrible cash out policies, house players in ring games, etc), I decided to play their 12:01 freeroll the other night. There werent any other freerolls going on at other sites so I played this one.

About an hour into it, I had over 15 thousand chips! I thought WOW, i might win some money to mess around with (since theres no chance they would ever let me cash it out)...then i looked at the tournament lobby.

For some unexplained reason Pokerhost had changed its only decent reason to play there, the 12:01 freeroll, into a MERCHANDISE FREEROLL. No longer did 1-20th place win at least $5... no no no. Now out of 1000 players, the top three...yes 3 places were paid a whopping POKERHOST VISOR!

If you ask me, this crappy site should be giving every single interested person a dozen visors just in hope that they wear one in public...but no, this little item is the top prize for a freeroll that has paid like $200 total for 1st-3rd place every day before for a year or so.

HOOOORAAAAY FOR POKERHOST, the most pathetic excuse for a poker site on earth, which I should have uninstalled from my computer long ago and saved myself the trouble.

Even though I won $3 from their $100 freeroll last night, I have to agree with you about the Merchandise Freeroll. Why should I spend 2 plus for Pokerhost merchandise? It's bullshit. They changed their freeroll schedule a bit. I think their $500 freeroll is at 9pm instead of midnight. IF you want to give away free merchandise, give to players who placed just underneath the places that have cash prize. For example, the $100 freeroll give cash prize for the top ten. They should give out merchandise for players who placed 11-15th or more. What was the grand prize, a shirt?! I consider that a crap prize. One good thing comes out of it, I don't have to stay up to play beyond midngiht anymore. :afraid:

No no, the grand prize, after playing probably 3 hours or more to beat 999 other players IS a pokerhost visor. They would never be gracious enough to give away something as extremely valuable as a t-shirt

I don't know. Maybe the shirt says. I played for 5 hours on pokerhost and all I got was the lousy T-shirt.

Said it before - pay a dollar or 2, and win real money (Paradise's big buck everyday pay's $200+ 1st prize, and has $1,000 in pool ($1 entry).
