I recently had over 5000 in my account and woke up one morning and it disappeared completely! I contacted support numerous times and are now completely ignoring me. I am taking this to a higher authority in or government to either get my money back or shut them down. They are stealing from Americans and are able to hide thousands of miles away. I talked to an agent and he said they shouldn't even be excepting money from anyone from the United States. I don't even care, I just want what I worked hard for.

I've never heard of money disappearing like that before. Usually money steal all sorts of scammers.

Disturbing news for sure. I am in the US also and play on both platforms, started through the freerolls here. I have also since made a small crypto deposit on each to verify and can and have withdrawn more from each site than I've ever deposited. But Much smaller #s than $5000USD.
I deposited $25 in BTC on each and have taken out less than $500- but all transactions with BTC and all without a hitch.
Have you deposited on the site before? Also, which was it? SB or BOL, I have a separate (and much smaller than $5000) balance on each I assume so if you had $5000 US dollars on the books there. Granted, it shouldn't matter as far as your balance suddenly disappearing.. But it may make play-through needed and other hoops for withdraw extremely difficult.
Did you deposit with cyrpto? (can make a difference- better to use- avoid US bank if possible)
Definitely keep us posted as to how it turns out. Also curious on any other back story info- like confirm deposit, played in USD, how long have you played there, was this Poker $ etc.
Mostly for my own curiosity - I haven't had a chunk near 5k on there to withdraw but I do keep some money on there and like the BBJP cash tables. Wanna be sure if I can ever hit it I can get paid.
Never like hearing about stuff like this and really hope you can get to the bottom of it.

OK, I'll stop right now, thanks for the warning.

Not chump change for sure well unless we are a high roller. Very disturbing to someone in the hopes of building a bankroll.

Based on the title I thought it was a bad series. I haven't heard of such a case. I'm sure you're not the first. I hope you get your money back soon! Anyway it is bad to hear that this may happen in 2019 :(

This still hasn't been settled. I am still getting a run around and receive messages from different reps that have extremely different answers but none of them actually settle the issue. Unfortunately, it's in their hands as they are not located in this country and can pretty much do whatever they want. I don't understand how they are allowed to operate here but the originals aren't? I remember receiving checks from my winnings from sites like pokerstars and 888 before they were shut down. The only thing I can do is make people aware and to not deposit on these two sites. It sucks to lose that much but if I can cost them that much in new deposits, then at least they won't profit from straight up stealing from me.
Kindest Regards,
Justin

Not much you can do.....

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do. You must follow every single one of their terms and conditions(which I did) but they don't have to follow their own. The government's of their home countries can care less if one of their companies rip off a few Americans. Their fine print always says they can change terms for any reason or no reason at all. So once you put in a deposit to these sites, it's basically "play money" unless you are one of those fortunate enough to recieve a payout. This is the reason why I only play live at my local casinos now. I do play on ACR as they offer unlimited freerolls that you can work on a bankroll without putting up money you worked hard for. I'm sorry but being a single father that works 45+ hours a week, I can not afford to just hand over a penny to these creeps that probably just paid off U.S. officials so they can operate here. So this will never happen to me again, as long as I stick to this plan.
Don't get me wrong though, they are mocking me in their responses and I would love nothing more than to see one of these dirtbags in person. They are no better than the scammers overseas that rip off the elderly or naive on a daily basis!

Very strange situation.
Me too had deposited, via BTC and via ecopayz, and could withdraw to each one of this methods several times, without any problems.
Great sites to play and to withdraw.

I play both of these card rooms, but not very often. I will make sure to withdraw often. Thanks for the heads up. Hope it works out for you.

Did you verify your account?
Sometimes you have to send your documents before withdraw.

Is there an official BOL thread on CC? If so maybe they would be able to help.

I'm sorry to hear that. I too play at both, in fact I deposited a little bit of money on betonline last week and cashed in 4 tourneys and 1 final table today. I only just broke even but still was feeling optimistic about future play and deposits. Now not so much anymore.

Like someone said, I would find the official betonline thread here and try to speak with the rep about it here. That way, we can all see what they say and how they treat you. I hope you get your funds back man. :(

Edit: I saw something on Reddit about ignition ceasing someone's reward/vip points simply because they were "a winning player" and didn't need it anymore. It seems like us US players are getting screwed over big time by these unregulated sites more and more. Reading that made me weary about Ignition, now this is making me cautious about Betonline and Sportsbetting.

I was not able to log in to BOL today and it said I had to change my password before I could continue. It said I would get an email when I used the forgot password feature. I used the feature, but I never got the email. I suspect someone has gained access to my account and changed the email and password. This post has me wondering if people have illicitly gained access to multiple accounts.

I play in both places ... and everything is going well so far ... the only thing that happened to me today in SportBetting was that he asked me to change my password ... it seemed strange to me, however I did it ... then I entered and everything normal ..!

Yes same here except for Sportsbetting just today. I had BOL and Sportsbetting account for 2 years or so and never had that message to change password pop up.

Do you have any proof of this claim? I frankly find it extremely hard to believe there is not a LOT more or a LOT less to this story.

Please provide us with some evidence - did you deposit $5000? Did you win $5000? Was it transferred to your account? How many accounts do you have there?

Members - you should take claim likes this with a grain of salt when no evidence is provided. :)
