How many poker rooms do you think you should join?

Just a quick question do you think its a good idea to belong to multiple poker sites or should you concentrate all your efforts on a single site

It depends what and why you are playing. Some sites have softer fields than others. Some have better promotions than others. Some run better tournaments at better times than others.

If you're just playing freerolls, you can always try to play on multiple sites just to get as many as you can, but ultimately you might settle on a couple of sites or so that you like best.

This. People live around the world in different time zones. No site can accommodate the play of all their members conveniently, therefore many need flexibility.

Personally I would still want a variety of sites to play on. Whatever your thoughts on random number generation, you will find sites do not all play in a similar manner. Often during a downswing on one site better luck can be found on another.

MTT players prefer this option because of the poker room's schedule. I do that too , sometimes I want more tables and for example PS can't fulfill my need for another tournament so...
