Grandtour at Pokerstars

Hey, i would like to know if someone is playing grandtour permanently and can say if it is profitable? , i already won the grandtour 94 times (in avverage u get like 250$ if u win the complete race) i always start with 5$-12$ and i got break even, it makes fun to play but very much variance, so maybe someone can tell me, if it is worth to grind that more to get that lucky bounty from orange when i go breakeven for long time? if u get an orange bounty at the finaltable , it can be up to 200k $ , what do u guys think about that, should i focus more on mtt's or try more to study the grandtour, that i can make little profit?

I play quite often. Just the $1 game. My first ever game i turned a profit of $10. Got to the 4th round. But i find you need a good hand at the start to knock at least one person out.

As a "free" American, I can only use the play chips on Stars since we were banned by our own damn government back on April 15, 2011.

I have played the Grand Tour on the play chip side a couple of times, and my opinion of it is that it was no different from a PKO tournament or Sit N Go... and all I could wonder is "Why did Stars bother with this?" I just don't get the appeal of Grand Tour, I don't see the point to it.

Perhaps this is a function of me using the play chips, I can't win any money using play chips, and there are FAR better ways of earning play chip profit than playing the Grand Tour. They don't allow very high limits for Grand Tour on the play chip side, I have no idea of the limits on Grand Tour on the real money side.

That's my honest feedback of it, probably doesn't help very much but there it is. I have always wished that Stars would stick to regular stuff and stop trying to invent new games and new stuff. The whole "Throwables" thing is comical to me, talk about a total waste of time, money and the employees programming skills... that's the kind of stuff they're creating? meaningless crap... ah well, it's not my site. Jealous of all you non-Americans that get to play all the special events at poker stars. Makes me envious every time the site rolls out a new special event. Makes me miss the old days when US players were still welcomed there.
