GGpoker Affiliate/Agent?

Is it true if you sign up with ggpoker with an affiliate or agent, you can get your account banned? I heard of this but it has to do with getting direct rakeback right? I see some sites online seem to offer rake races and things like that if you sign up through ggpoker through them... so is that okay?


Or do you all sign up directly with ggpoker?
