I haven't liked their software for a long time. The impression is that it is written by a school-level programmer. During updates, my antivirus software isolates some of their update files. Later 888 does not work and only reinstallation helps.
Good afternoon.I thought I was the only one with that problem,mate.But I do like to play there, many freerolls to play,in my case easy deposits and withdrawals.I hope the problem with your account can be solved soon.

There should be a reason they have banned you..just think a bit deeper
. The reson is i live in germany and has to do with the new gambling laws in:

"We would like to confirm that your registration at the OASIS GlüStV (online query of player status according to the State Treaty on Gambling) has been successfully completed and that you are now participating in this blocking system. You are therefore excluded from all OASIS GlüStV participating gaming providers.We respect your decision to self-exclude and your account has also been blocked in our system. 888 has been really good to me. In emails, withdrawals, in general, so maybe there is a problem you are not aware of?? I was kicked off of Unibet, and I know exactly why. Were they right, I dont think so, but you can't argue with Big Tech.
Until this happened i really loved them to, but now is impossible not to dispise them. :mad:. I live in Germany and the change some low, which nobody tell me about it until i have my account blocked. Now i must wait 1 year for them to unlock it, this is wat they answer : "If you would like to submit a different application, please note the following: Applications can only be processed if the first and last name, address and date of birth are given and the minimum blocking period has expired. The minimum lock-up period for unlimited locks is one year from July 1, 2021, regardless of the time of entry. Only after this period has expired can an application for the suspension be lifted. Applications received earlier are ineffective.":mad:

Personally, I have not had the displeasure of having bad experiences with any poker room in general... But it bewilders me how cold and inhuman costumer service can be.

I also have a thread in the Poker Rooms forum. I am very unhappy with 888 as they deleted my account. But not because of any wrongdoing on my part. Apparently, it has to do with the new gambling laws in Germany, my account still existed, but my balance was at zero, meaning all my money no longer showed on my account. I contacted support and I needed to open a new account (which apparently I can only play against others in Germany on) which I don't want. So I asked to withdraw my funds. I got an email asking for my bank details, and when I sent the email, also asking if they would like a scan of my passport or other ID, and their reply was "We have deleted your account".

Bam. I have sent emails and now my emails are being returned as "undeliverable" but I am using the same email as on their website, and the ones we had up till now been communicating on.

I have just sent the email again, to 3 different support emails, and so far only one has been returned as undeliverable.

I will update as I know more. All they have to do is right by me... It shouldn't be that difficult.
. Hallo, my problem is they never said to me i must do other account, they only blocked me without no Reason and now i must wait 1 year until i can unblock my account. :mad:
My money i can take it out, they say.. Is not so much left to take out😅, so i didn't do it yet.
But if u have a lot off money that is not good at all. They must do rigt by u , fight until they do.For me is the ending :( i will never play there again... I wait for the update

888 has now been in touch and it looks as if it was a case of the left hand not knowing what the right was doing, because of the new German gambling laws. My account was deleted due to this but accounting had a record of my funds and they assure me a manual payout is possible.

They are, however, asking for the same info I had already provided, but just the fact that there is again a conversation is comforting.

I love 888 never had any issues with them and they always have promotions for us micro/freeroll players.
I already spend 2 days and try to contact them and ask them why they close my account and etc. I really don't think they Deserve more of my time.This is what they answer :

Just because your account is blocked doesn't mean that 888 is the worst site. On the contrary, I believe that 888 is one of the best sites where you can easily create a bankroll and where there are absolutely no problems with withdrawals.

I actually kinda wonder now how many countries are there (in europe) which basically dont have any restrictions etc towards any (major) online poker room (which has cardchat games) - less than 10 right cause i'd assume other way around this number is probably 15+ (if not even higher) :bebored:

That is good to hear. Hopefully you will soon get your money back, and then you can move on and play on some other site, if you are not interested in 888 Poker any more.

I don't play at 888 poker because it's restricted in my country, but it's a poker room with many years in the online poker industry, I remember it since 2012 I first got into online poker, it' considered as one of the safest and most reliable site, I don't believe that they purposely ant to scam random people.

I hope your problems to be solved.

I have money at 888 poker ( won buy freerolls) but have not opened a
account yet. I hope I do not have the same problem when I try to take

These problems are caused by new german legislation. Maybe 888 Poker has not handled the situation perfectly, but its difficult to see, how this is relevant for people living in other countries than Germany. So a much more fitting headline for this thread would be "german legislation is the worst".

And to be honest that is the case with a lot of existing legislation about online poker. On one side its good, that governments make it legal and set up some guidelines, that operators much follow. But on the other side more often than not these guidelines dont exactly help players, even though this is the official justification.

I live in sweden, and because of our legislation I can not participate in freerolls or earn any kind of rake-back. And I must admit, that I find it slightly difficult to see, how this "protects" me from anything other than winning more money. As another example both Germany and Sweden have imposed a weekly or monthly deposit limit. For high stakes players this makes it almost impossible to move their bankroll around or keep it in a regular bank account outside the poker site. And I am sure, they dont exactly consider this a great "help" either ;)

New update:

I will obviously keep updating, but I received an email from 888 and they have confirmed that my funds will be paid out (my account was first at zero - even though I had funds, and then completely deleted).

I was very angry and posted about it, but I have now gotten emails that my funds will be paid out, and I will go ahead and report that now. It will take 6-8 business days for the transfer, but in the spirit of fairness - I bashed 888 in the forum about this - it seems they have come to bat and all seems good.

It looks as if it was not totally 888s fault (although it was very confusing for me when my money was at $0, and the explanation was "Your account has been deleted") but it looks as if it is an issue with the German gambling laws and 888 trying to balance things out.

In any case, it looks as if my funds will be paid out, and I will update as soon as that happens.

But support has actually been great and very, well, supportive after my initial SNAFU. I was very angry and let them know and they obviously saw my point of view and made it good again.

I will update when my funds arrive, but I don't see anything going wrong after the emails I received from 888.

For you it is the worst, for me the best, for some it is good enough, for others bad enough. All our assessments are subjective and express our attitude to this site in a given period of time.
Objectively, as time shows, this is a reliable site that deserves the attention of players.

An update to my previous posts in this thread:

Good news, for me at least.

I now have heard from 888 and it seems they will payout my balance. As fundiver199 said, it looks like the whole thing was initiated by the new gambling laws. 888 did seem to me to have a situation of the right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing, which made it confusing, and a PITA, for me. But it seems they are now making it right.

In any case, 888 has assured me I will be refunded my balance. I will update when this happens. But it does look as if they are doing the right thing.

hmm i dont understand why you not just create a new accoount? what speaks against it? they would probably transfer your funds there and everything would be solved.

also @ OP please provide us here with the emails between you and 888. like this, the thread has no value. its actually pretty pointless because there are numerous players with no problems on 888 (me included) and they are FAR from the worst site.

could it be you made some comments to them about addiction or self exclusion?

Yes.

But... The thread was not about an amount, but a business model and reliability, and customer service.

I only say this because your post has a bit of an implied agenda. If not, why are you referring to the amount of my account, which has, up until now, not been the issue?

One would hope that even a billion dollar business model would still offer satisfactory customer service to a client of 10 years as in my case, (or of 10 days) even if the account at the moment is not a large one.

Or, what WAS your point?

This comment is confusing. You quote my post, which addresses exactly why I do not want to continue to play at 888, and then you claim to not know why I don't want a new account.

Very strange everything for fletchdad and cip15.
I am also from Germany and so far 888 is still working for me. Now I worry, as I really liked to play there, acutally. And of course I am wondering, if I should withdraw my funds there...
