Just to update things... Installation of my table mods has changed drastically after FTP's big update recently. There are a couple ways to do it, but they are very difficult for most of the public. OK. Looks like there's only one way to install free stand-alone FTP backgrounds like mine and ones that people might like to make themselves. It involves XML editing, but I'll try to set up some cut & paste lines of code to make it easier.

Do u have a link to the difficult XML instructions or is this all being done by you? Just curious, I used your bg for a template and made a few tables, wanted to try them out.. then Bam... stupid update. Well anyway looking forward to a new hack thanks!

Are you saying that the installation is hard? Or making t hem? Because in order to install I just copied and replaced the newtable folder.

"Replaced the NewTable folder" with what? The Layout.xml file has to be edited for any custom backgrounds to work.

All I did was replace the newtable folder with the newtable folder that was included in my mod download. Got it from 2+2, played 550 hand session with it with no problems. I put in different cardbacks from a different set as well as kept the original cards too, all I needed to do was place the right files in the right folders.

All I did was replace the newtable folder with the newtable folder that was included in my mod download. Got it from 2+2, played 550 hand session with it with no problems. I put in different cardbacks from a different set as well as kept the original cards too, all I needed to do was place the right files in the right folders.

My background mods don't include any folders. They're just raw Jpegs.

EDIT: Hmmm. I guess I could include folders and such with my background mods. I might look into that.

tried the folder way and it worked, don't know about posting links and "rules" but the info was easy to find just googled FTP mods update, only problem is I renamed the wrong .svg first time had to reinstall FT, only table mod tho, haven't got to BG's yet.

Right clicking and changing background changes to soft colors and not the detailed carpets like the original

OK, to clarify: For the full tilt poker software, if you want to manually install a new modified raw JPG background file by itself that looks like a table, you MUST EDIT XML. I guarantee it.

Yes, there are probably auto-installer scripts that some guys have packaged with their backgrounds. There may even be ways to copy folders for 1 mod at a time. But what I mean is to start from scratch with just a background JPG that someone (or I) made and to get it so show up in FTP. And I don't mean card mods, chip mods, seat mods, avatar mods, soft colors, blank backgrounds, removing felt overlays, etc., etc. I mean to get a background to look like this:


...you MUST EDIT XML. Trust me.

I guarantee they work because I just followed them. If anyone finds any spelling or syntax errors I didn't catch, lemme know. I think Blogger's spellcheck was acting up.

I do notice more lag now when playing any race track, only classic mode seems to play correctly.... not sure why..

I've been scoping these out... is there a way that you can just change the look of the final table and leave the regular table as it is? I want to feel extra special when I make it to the final table in a big tournament, lol.

Yes. There is a flag in the software that changes the final table to that blue one with lights coming out. You can certainly edit the Final Table JPG file or just change to a completely different table by putting another JPG file in the Final Table folder.

I also notice some lag when FTP tables are larger than default. I just keep them default size or smaller and all is well.
